It's horrendous. Where are all the Johnny come latelys who only started going when we got promoted? Pathetic support from a pathetic club. I hate Stoke. In fact, I've now got nothing in my life to live for. Bye.

It was a couple of thousand more than similar size clubs WBA got for an all Prem tie v Palace and Southampton drew for top Championship club Burnley.
If you factor in the fact that Leicester probably took 2 or 3 thousand more fans than either Palace of Burnley you are left with similar gate to WBA and Southampton.
I would say overall it was probably about par.

What i have noticed is when i first started going TO sTOKE in the 70s ,it was relatively cheap and everyone paid in at The turnstiles and crowds went up and down massively as supporters were very fickle about their time and money. We could play Palace and get 17000 then Liverpool and get 30odd thousand crowd. So the majority didnt attend every game and some just one or two a season. . Today the majority of the support scrimp and scrape for a season ticket then try and find the cost of the matchday cost on top at each game .
THE FA CUP AND lEAGUE CUP GAMES ARE JUST A BRIDGE TO FAR FOR MANY SOCIALLY AND FINANCIALLY.

There would have been 190,000 at least if it was not for the crappy card scheme.

I thought it would be a hard game, was proven wrong! I cant belive they are top of the championship! If we did go down then with this squad we would come straight back up, they where shocking IMO, just sat back all the game

As it's almmost exactly as I forecast, I wasn't surprised. Since leaving the stadium, I've listened to Five Live and read Jim White(D. Tel.) on the train, both of whom expected the same FA Cup downturn for most clubs for the now well-worn reasons. Pity but that's how it is. It's still a thrill for the smaller clubs, however, and will woo bigger crowds as it progresses. The game was a bit of a stroll for us, today, and it was good to feel so relaxed, even after their goal, being confident of a win. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) No injuries, cards or goofy refereeing decisions (well maybe one) and the weather to be appreciated, considering other areas of the country. Above all, no need for a replay!

Surely a H&S issue!? ;-) Apparently standing increases capacity 1:3 so that's already around 84,000 if rip the seats out. Get about 5000 standing in the corners so call it 90,000. Don't really know where to go from there though... Some on the running track?

There probably would have been a couple of thousand more if "Ratboy" hadn't banned them all. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)
