I have a season ticket. I phoned up to get the 2 tickets for a tenner offer I had to ask for cards for 2 adults and a 5 year old, I gave their birth dates job done no fuss no wIt I now have 3 extra memberships 2 adult 1 child BUT I AGREE the membership scheme is a looser maybe if it was cheaper with being a member then good but there needs to be other ways of getting into the ground. 1- CASH 2 - TICKET

I don't buy in to this new system being why. Economic factors heavily influence this area. With such a large number of young boys and girls both unemployed (or on low/zero hour contracts) and not in education; coupled with generally low paid jobs in the locality this leaves a huge inactive base that can't and isn't filling the heads who have stopped going for various reasons. I've heard a few: - Can't afford - Newborn child - Child access after separation - People who didn't renew because of football style and didn't get overly excited about the MH appointment - The glory hunters who came after promotion and have lost interest People need to accept that we aren't a massive club in an affluent area and would struggle to sell out without something to 'cheer' about. PC and MH need to stimulate the 'part time' and 'glory hunting' fans back if we want to see sell outs again. You don't buy into it? I guess you haven't tried buying a ticket for a friend or family member over 65 or under 11 then. And these by the way are only a fiver each so I don't buy into the economic argument. Maybe you're right. There's the missing thousands caught in age groups under 11 and over 65 already without it and nothing to do with anything else.

I posted back in October about the problems with getting 7 non supporting Stoke mates into a game. There was a variety of responses including 'god, how hard is to get 7 people into the game if they really want it?'.
The short answer is : it's a pain in the arse and they don't really want it (but they'll go if its a piece of piss for a one off).
If the club can afford to enforce a signed up members only policy they really shouldn't be moaning about breaking even. Until it goes there will be no more sell outs, it's that simple.

Irrespective of the other reasons, as valid as they may be, it's unbelievable that a business that supposedly lives and dies on selling tickets to games would make it difficult to buy those tickets. What a brain-dead outfit.

How many stoke fans prefer to sit in the local and watch the game for free? No hassles re travelling, sit in the warmth having a beer.i recon that adds upto a lot more than the missing numbers
