He's proving a lot of us wrong since that performance against Cardiff.
he can go on the inside and outside and has an eye for goal, he's got a touch of class about him whenever he is in a shooting position.
the rate at which he is learning and improving is the most promising aspect though, and he was tracking back well all day long today.
I hope we get him on a permanent deal asap, well worth 3-4 million, still young and will give us a fair few very good seasons at this level.

Think he is earning a permanent contract as Lpool don't want him back!

Getting better with the game. That's what happens when you give blokes their chance. Hughes works with him every day and fair play for sticking with him. Very important player for us right now.

I believe unfortunately in his press conference Hughes did say that he was resigned to losing Assaidi. Said he has aspirations at Liverpool. Whether in Jan or at end of the season not sure

He put his foot in a few tackles today which is the biggest change in his game. He clearly needed a bit of coaching on what is expected in defensive terms in the Premier League - its really not that important in the Dutch league so its probably new for him.
Going forward his goals have given him confidence and we saw a couple of his infamous tricks against Coleman today.
I would definitely sign him up if he wants to stay. I think it will depend on what Liverpool tell the player.

Its been a while since weve had a player who looks so dangerous on the break, excellent today again.

"Season long loan with no option to buy"
And according to my mate who plays for the Liverpool academy Assaidi spends all his spare time there and watching the second team play.
It'd be nice if we could change his mind though

He can shoot and dribble but his crossing is dreadful - needs to improve that before we even consider signing him permanently

His ability is papering over a few cracks in our attacking play, that's for sure.

I can't see him being a big part of Brendan Rodgers plans to be honest. if the player doesn't want to come fair enough though I hope we will try for a permanent deal and Liverpool will at least be honest with him as to his prospects there, then he may be willing to sign.

Seems to be growing with each game, having not thought him up to it, sat on the fence when he scored against Chelsea, I am now on the side of persuading him that staying with us is in his best interests. Needs a chat with Rodgers, who will hopefully tell him where he stands.

All this talk of a new striker, but I think we'll score more goals and win more points with new wingers + Crouch/Jones rather than... Walters & Pennant/Arnautovic + new striker.

Don't want to be negative here as I agree, but he has already publicly stated he has no intention in signing and wants to do back to the bin dippers, Can't see it happening.

Love it when he runs at defenders and cuts inside.
He is improving and I would turn his loan into a permanent for sure.
They paid 2.6million so anything around that would be good business for us.

I'm getting more convinced. He was excellent today in all aspects of the game and that foul given against him looked an absolute joke after some fantastic defensive play.

I'm still not overly convinced, obviously hes a danger when he cuts in onto his right but there's not a massive amount of end product in the way of good crosses etc.

He put a great cross right onto Crouchs head near the end.
We have enough awful crossers in the team. Cameron played about 10 crosses straight to the first defender today along with Pieters who was culpable.
I think in comparison Assaidi's crosses are not bad considering he is a right footed player crossing with his left foot

I think in comparison Assaidi's crosses are not bad considering he is a right footed player crossing with his left foot He gave coleman a very hard game today and both he and barkley struggled with him. Assaidi skinned barkley at one point and on another occasion took out coleman on the outside and dropped a nice cross for crouch, with his left foot. Think with supporters getting behind him he would be our main dangerman from the current squad. If he is reluctant to sign permanently I would at least expect liverpool to let us keep him until the end of the season. We'll be ok if we can keep hold of him.

Looks like I was wrong and I suspect that confidence after a run of games playing a big part. He was excellent today - he just needs a better left foot now.

It'd be nice if we could change his mind though The lack of an option is surely irrelevant if all parties want it to happen in the Summer. If they don't then the option is irrelevant I would have thought?

I don't think he's got a prayer of working his way in at Liverpool, although it seems he's holding out some misguided hope of a return.
But he'd be great for us. Hopefully Rodgers will clarify that they're amenable to cashing in for £3m or so.
