With Agudelo not in the frame for January (if at all), I think that we need Crouch - even alongside another striker - MH seems to favour attacking substitutions where possible.
I would like Crouch to stay.
All players should have to compete for a place in our starting 11 imo

Everyone seems to rate De Jong (mostly without having seen him play or on his record in a terrible Dutch league) yet he can't get in a Mochengladbach team sitting in the bottom 3 the German League.
He isn't living up to his early promise and while we're all desperate for the striker we need for the money talked about I'm not sure he's it.

Maybe a loan with an agreement to sign him in the summer if he cuts it in the prem.

Crouch and de Jong would make a formidable strike force IMO

Maybe you should actually take the time to look it up before making statements like that just to fit your agenda, they are in fact 4th! Bundesliga Table

Stung indeed! I looked up their own website and went to Season>Table, Having just looked again for some reason it defaults to the Season 2010/2011 table TableGuess I should have noticed it shows 34 games played, d'oh.

I'm hoping we go back in for Diouf. He offers something we haven't got in our strikers with his pace and movement (Jerome excluded).

If he signed for a European club, say, Valencia legally under Spanish rules and they loaned him to us, would he need a work permit still in the UK? Once he'd gained his 'EU status' could he then move freely between EU member states?
Must be some law against doing that. Not to mention some dubious 'gentlemen's agreements' required!

He isnt playing (De Jong) because of a massive bust up with the coach
Lets face it, if he has any sort of pace, touch and eye for goal, he will be a massive improvement on what we have!
Crouch has touch (and a bit of an eye for goal) but no pace Jones has pace and strength but seldom uses them, no touch or eye for goal Jerome has pace to burn, but the touch of a murder and bar the odd specco (and to be fair I scored the odd one when i played too!) has no real eye for goal
Would guess Jerome and Crouch/Jones will be gone keeping 2 main strikers, with Marko as the backup forward if short when not on the wing.

We seem to attract / be attracted to our fair share of such characters? - possibly unsettling for the squad
Any particular reason(s) for the falling out?

That wouldn't not help him to get a work permit here. Different EU countries have different work permit rules for non EU nationals. Because he gets one for Spain makes no difference to his eligibility for any other EU country. Better for us to sign him and loan him out to a EU country with more relaxed rules. Reading between the lines it does seem that the Premier League are convinced that the FA panel got it wrong on this one. As we would get him for free (plus a signing on fee?) loaning him out is not a great risk as we would not be much out of pocket if he failed in a later application assuming most of his wages would be covered by the club which had him on loan.

Cant find anything online bar he was dropped and wasnt happy, vowed to work hard to get back into the team (that was an article from last April), obviously nothing doing so far!
I reckon we could get him at a decent price.

But where are they going? Spain even though SLP still think we will sign him I aren't sure, it seems as if his little training spell with us has just made Hughes want him even more. He probably will go to Spain but I wouldn't be shocked if we have persevered with him.
