It's so frustrating.
We so often lose momentum around the 65 minute mark as inevitably Adam had to go off. Today the goal came at the right time as Sunderland were beginning to get in top, as Adam had ran out if gas.
I just don't get how a Premier League footballer can't complete 90 minutes especially when Adam is a regular starter.

He came off on 81 minutes and rightly so. Put a shift in today.

He's near 100% fit and today shows. He is working hard on fitness he lostsd 2 kg, but i think he has to lose a bit again to reach perfect fitness level.

Charlie played well. Great ball for Crouch to set up N'Zonzi for the second, scored the first, made a nuisance of himself for the time he was on the pitch. Thought he was a good shout for MOTM to be honest. He's a good lad Charlie, works arrd, uses the ball well too. His fitness isn't a massive issue for me, the fact we can't sub him for a quality replacement is however. Admittedly Ireland would usually be available for that eventuality.

He's frustrating isn't he? On the whole I'd say he played pretty well today but there was still more moments than there needs to be when You just want to rip Your hair off. The pass he tried in the first half to Pieters though was class vision and a quality finish for the goal.

The pass he tried in the first half to Pieters though was class vision and a quality finish for the goal. Today was arguably one of the best performances he's had in a Stoke shirt to date. He broke twice in the second half and the goal was at his mercy, he did just after the hour mark and didn't have the legs and that run completely knackered him. His second break he only made it to the half way line before squaring it and losing possession.

His second break he only made it to the half way line before squaring it and losing possession. Maybe so but his decision making just winds me up. In those two breaks it was more than evident, on the first one he shaped to shoot from 40 yards and then thought "nah better carry on". And on the second why he passed I'll never know, he should have carried it and won a throw. It's negative but there was no other option. When he plays simple football, he looks so much better.

He's very unpredictable and I'm still not convinced. He's like a 'poor's man' Steven Gerrard pinging balls around but only 1 in 5 actually going to the relevant person. He needs to improve his consistency because he's got talent.
I don't know how anyone can say that when he gets subbed, we lose momentum because that's absolute bollocks!

Has to play in home games. Simply has to. I think in games like today I agree. Against the better sides, I think I'd go for Ireland.

Been very critical of him this season but today was his best performance for quite a while.
I find him really frustrating because if he could get himself fit to the point where he could really get about the pitch then his performances would really rocket.

I've never been critical of Adam. Just be thankful for the performance that he achieves.
A lot of the players that get slagged on here are now showing what they can really do.
Nzonzi isn't lazy - he is "class". The two can sometimes be confused.

Charlie is the most creative midfielder we, ve got, and he know s where the back of the net is. He did his job, and without him we probably wouldn,t have scored the early goal. He tries things none of the others are even capable of!

After the last few games that Ireland has played he'd have been my first choice if both were fit, but that said Adam looked a lot fitter - fair play to him. Competition for places can only be a good thing and long may it continue. Some of his passes are more miss than hit, but if they do come off generally it's a goal scoring chance so can accept that.

Adam at home with whelan, I know.. glenda. He was underrated today 100% passing and great position. On task like a defensive terrier. It really allows nzonzi a break and to get forward and have a go he needs these kind breaks. On the other hand, I would use Ireland away with nzonzi sticking back as we have been doing. Let Stephen play good for our team rotation too.
