Which Colchester do you expect to turn up tomorrow? The ones that lost 5-1 to Coventry last weekend... or the ones who dicked us 3-1 last season A couple of things to take into account. They may have beaten us last season but they had a stronger squad back then, I think they finished 10th in the league. They're already relegated and the players have little to fight for, but then it is the last game at Layer Road!

They beat us 3-0 last season, we beat them 3-1 at home.
I don't think they will cause us too many problems. We should be comfortable, just needs a professional job done.

Put yourself in their boots.
It's the last ever game at Layer Road, the ground which reminds you how far you have come down in the world, or are never going to make it. No emotional attachment other than vague embarrassment. Do you put in 110% for the fans? Nah
You have the opportunity to risk injury with a do or die block or tackle. You could miss pre-season, the chance of a transfer, or whatever. Do you make it? Nah
If the real STOKE turn up we should surely be ok, unless the referee decides to get all sentimental or is just an arse.

There is a massive amount of pressure on the players tomorrow and i defo think that we need an early goal because every minute that passes puts more pressure on us and as bad a team as they are they may stil have the fight in them to try not to be beaten in there last game at Layer cake. That said i do honestly believe that we will beat them and secure promotion as Dull wont win, you see its simple really!!! ;D

someone suggested that there were a lot of colchester players leaving the club at the end of the season - anyone know how true that is? surely has an effect on their players state of mind

their team from last season is not the same as last seasons they have lost their key players so i would expect stoke to turn up and thump them 6-0 ;D

Fully expect Colchester to come out attacking and it's important "along with others" that Rory Delap is on his game. Break up play and see that pass Rory because surely we have enough pace in both Fuller and Sidibe to run them ragged.
Having said that i am poo-pooin me load.

in then end we'll just want it more, the point on the fifty fifty is a very good one. I suspect they'll be breathing fire by the time they get on the pitch they'll want it soo much. Colchester will capitulate
