We need to support folks as hard as it seems. Whether you pro this or anti that. We have lost our mojo, ive watched us worse than this under Ball Jordan etc,yet the atmosphere was still there. I cant put my finger on why exactly, but were not helping. To much chat not enough vocal support.

Been thinking the same but it does all seem a bit pointless, everyone has lost enthusiasm. It has been terrible watching stoke for a while now though. We need the players to show some real commitment and put some performances in. I think they've been letting everyone down for a long time now

It's not the support
If all 11 players are sparking together as a unit the support will be there, and in turn we will get 3 points.

When we got promotion everyone in the media, pundits and to be honest most of us thought we would be relegated. Paddy Power even paid out after only a few games were played. The fans were determined to enjoy every minute of every game and a siege mentality was created at the Brit. We had characters like Fuller, Lawrence, Delap + others that got the crowd going, it was party time! Then pundits said we would stay up, TP kept on about how good the opposition were the fans started to expect more than TP or the team could give and the Brit started to become more likely to groan than get behind the team. Some times it's more like a morgue than a bear-pit. It's a bit of a chicken & egg situation at the moment, what comes first the kind of support we became "famous" for or the performance on the pitch. Well as we can't get on the pitch we have to support in the hope that the players do their stuff on the pitch, all players say that their games is lifted by a good crowd, let's get back to being the 12th man again!!!

I don't subscribe to the view that showing dissatisfaction whether that be by booing or venting spleens on here equals NOT getting behind the team.....on the contrary, in most cases - I know there as are some "agenda" exception - it is that folk are so feckin' passionate about what happens on the pitch that they cannot sit quietly by and watch sub-standard performances, or "happy clap" without comment....I also don't believe that such open criticism is necessarily damaging to performance provided it is at the appropriate time (ie not during play).....
The Norwich game yesterday was a great example of how a kick up the arse from the crowd can have a hugely positive effect - they left the field at HT to the biggest chorus of boos I can recall hearing in the prem - came out and battered West Ham who had dominated completely the first 45....
I have a good feeling about today - lets do 'em Stoke......!

Our support is completely fucked, one half don't want to cheer because their messiah is no longer here, the other half spend to long having a pop at them to cheer themselves.
Added to the fact that we haven't won convincingly since Boxing Day last year and have put in some performances so woeful and turgid that it's beyond laughable all adds up to a very disgruntled and restless fan base.
We need something to unite us all again, a convincing win by three goals or more, a wonder goal a la Crouch vs Man City, or a refereeing decision to go against us in front of the Boothen. I thought we'd got it when Arnautovic buried that free kick at Old Trafford but it wasn't to be, we just need something.

I said when hughes first came in that his biggest job was not convincing the players of the way forward but the fans. Stoke fans just shout get it forward at a sideways pass never mind a backwards one. Most just don't understand keeping possession. Until we start winning they just won't understand.
As much as the coates family have given us everything and more I also think they've took something away.
Forget whose manager, I think hughes will be great though, a year or so ago we were blowing teams out of the water with transfers, filling in two corners and everything was encouraging.
Then just when we appoint someone who could get us playing good attacking football we massage the figures so we cut our cloth. We decide to not do either corner.
Nothing coming out of the club screams keep coming we're going places. It just screams we've all had our fun now lets get back in the real world.
We can all only thank the coates family but they have to start banging the drum again I think to give us all some positivity.

I wonder why that is? Yes I read this too. Other opportunities to watch live football was one possibility. Success / style of play is always going to be important. It's not that long ago that we were all singing en route to Wembley, Europa Cup etc. - possibly overachieving? I feel that a buoyant crowd can be a very positive influence for the team - but in contrast confidence can be affected with negative / lack of cheering. It's sad, but we have lost our intimidating atmosphere and we are all only 2 years older?
