Ok first lets set the scene - tomorrow we win v Colchester then on Monday Brazil draw against Southampton. That would place Brazil 1st on 78pts (by GD) and us 2nd also on 78pts. Brazil then play QPR away and we are home v Leicester. Driving time between the grounds on a Saturday afternoon about 4hrs . . with the final games being the decider for the title - where do the Football League take the trophy? It's not like they can have it halfway either since it'll take too long either way! I guess the only answer if this situation arose is for them is have a helicopter on standby!? Would the FL go to this length or do there normal and just take a guess and possibly have the champions not getting the trophy on the final day? I just am just hoping and praying we are in this kind of position come Leicester (combined with Hull dropping points! )

I suspect that they use a replica(s).

chopper would still take a pretty long time to get to either ground, even if it's based somewhere in between (Oxford?)
So I reckon Lard is probably right - although if it took 4 hours for them to deliver post Leicester game I would wait!

I guess the replica would be one way but it's a bit of a cop out ain't it! Actually thinking about it I think I saw piece on Grandstand one year when a close finish was happening both teams playing some distance apart and I am sure the FA then basically waited for so long into the games and made a decision based on the score at mid point in the game . . . did anyone else see this or did I dream it.

The reason i know this is working for the Local Brewery they brought round the Prem trophy for us to be photographed with and they brought in 2 of them as one was being shown in derby later on in the day, spoke to the lads in charge and they told me all about it, both are even engraved in the same way and they informed me its the same for the championship as well.

Yeah, they do have 2, but conceivablly chopper could be somewhere in between (say Banbury) and they make a decision with half an hour to go and fly it to either Stoke or QPR, Coatsey would probably let them land the chopper on the pitch (or even have a bloke parachute in with it - that would be cool!)

I would like to nominate myself for parachute duties.....I have no experience and will more than likely end up like that bloke at villa but it will be an honour
