Go on here www.pepipoo.com/ (despite the sound of the name that is a sensible website) and search the forums. I may be wrong but I don't think the private firm can do anything other than intimidate you. If necessary register and ask directly.

Have you tried Customer Services inside the store, explain what happened and that you are a regular customer at Tesco and are very unhappy with them, tell them you have heard how good the food is in Sainsbury's and unless they sort the ticket out you will be shopping elsewhere in future.

Hi mate, What you've had stuck to your car is an invitation to pay. The car park is private land and as such there is no civil authority to 'penalise' you for parking. They try to make the tickets seem legal but they aren't. Ignore it and eventually they'll go away OR write back informing them that you do not agree to pay the charge.

Stokey
How were you going to show me it working - by taking it into Tesco and saying " Can I just plug this in for 5 mins, mate"?

Presuming that there are other supermarkets near you that you could go to, you could write to the Manager of the Longton branch informing him/her that you'll not shop at Tesco again unless they cancel the ticket, sending a copy to Euro car parks. Might not work, but no harm in trying?
