Got the Dan Deacon album the other day, really like this tune that is based around a sample of woody woodpecker Don't listen with a headache. Also quite like Busdriver www.myspace.com/busdriver who is an LA based MC Flying Lotus who is an LA based hip-hop/electronica producer (related to alice and john coltrane) www.myspace.com/flyinglotusthe Fiery Furances are one of the most inventive bands around, check Bitter Tea and Widow City albums Grizzly Bear are pretty good, there's a nice cover of "he hit me" on their Friend EP. And one of my all time favourite albums, again hip-hop, "the cold vein" by cannibal ox. One of those records that you can listen to over and over again and it just keeps giving something new each time. www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/16000-the-cold-vein

Phillip Boa And The Voodo Club An alternative German band with pleny of cathing songs. Slightly experimental, but not too far out. Not to far off from the Fall?!
