More empty seats than I expected, Stoke need to rethink the £40+ seats...

Making it easier than Fort Knox to get in to the stadium would help.

25,052, less than for Palace I think. I guess the issue is we have sold a couple of thousand fewer season tickets than in recent seasons but if we are looking to the "pay-as-you-go'ers" to mop that lot up at £40+ a pop it's ain't gonna happen

Same here Ruts, even though I'm now living in Manchester instead of Kent I'm not willing to pay £40, even the childrens prices were expensive, if I had taken my 2 kids today it would of been around £80 ! Just crazy, so we went to Alton towers instead with our Merlin Annual passes that we pay £30 a month for instead....

I live down in Cornwall now and usually try to get to 5 or 6 home games a season if I can, but not at £40 a game. SCFC need to rethink the pricing or get used to the empty seats at least for this season. No doubt if we continue to improve and ENTERTAIN then the season tickets bought for next season should increase again, providing we stay in the Premier League, and with the way we are playing we should manage that....just need a goalscorer now and we'd be laughing.

Could have got the day off work and gone with the other half today but at £80 for us both didn't bother. Went work and watched it on the stream for free.
Dont mind paying £25 each but if they think people will pay top whack just because a big team is in town they've got it very wrong.

Ditto, thought about picking up a pair of tickets, £80 + Parking. No thanks.
I even got a SMS the day before telling me tickets were still available from SCFC.
Farmer, not everybody can get to all the matches. Unfortunately empathy is not a skill you seem to have developed.

Money does come into it. Way too expensive. I have a season ticket so i went but if I couldn't afford a season ticket then i definitely couldn't afford 40 quid a match plus the kids. too much for people around here!

Some people have jobs that involve working weekends so not possible to go every match, for you that's probably not an issue, don't know your circumstances, but what I do know is that you seem to be a right Cock. Purposely left out the smiley. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards

I cant understand this crap of its to expensive for around here, yes match tickets are expensive but we know that in August every year the football season starts,so a little forward planning people should be able to save for a season ticket if they really want to watch Stoke. If you only want to go when it suits you that is peoples right but you need to except the prices will be a lot higer.I love my football team so I budget from year to year and I am only on average wages.

As soon as mark hughes came in they should have put the season tickets back on at early bitd prices, and refunded the difference to those who paid extra

Stoke will probably fill some of those seats after Christmas when the 'half season' tickets are on sale, and that will also give a route to early bird price renewal for next season.

Obviously have a firm opinion of Stoke fans that can't/won't pay £40 per game prices. Obviously have no bloody clue about people's reasons why they are unable to attend but, certainly have just the sort of arrogant, judgmental and frankly distasteful attitude towards fellow Stokies. Clearly, the atmosphere might have been far better if you hadn't attended today.

You can't have it all ways. If we want Stoke to have a competitive side we need a competitive income. Other places seem to attract enough people at these prices, but Stoke as a city can't or won't.Very poor show today.

Think you will find many of the smaller clubs in the prem don't charge £40 minimum for a ticket (for high cat games) and even more not selling out. The proof is in the pudding - I gtee there will be more Stokies there for the home game against Norwich in two weeks....... Maybe a ceiling price for the Boothen should be a lot closer to £25 than £40.
