We only got him at the knock down price because everyone knows about his attitude (just remember the season before he signed, where he elbowed Whelan and Ryan at the Brit because he was having one of his, er, 'episodes').
He's just had one brilliant game.
There's absolutely no evidence to suggest that he's permanently got his head straight.
Based on the last season £2-£5 million tops. If he sorted himself out then the sky's the limit.

Given his attitude and difficulty to control him his fee will never be over £10m however he certainly has the talent and ability.
We got him on the cheap from a relegated team he refused to play for. Judging on what he has given so far, I would say he is valued around £7-8m, I don't think the club would accept anything less than £7m and I think they woudl bite anyones hand off at £8m.

I heard that Arsenal are keeping an eye on him which makes sense with Wenger. He does look like a future Arsenal player. care to expand on where you heard that from? only asking as no-one else seems to have heard this and you didn't seem to think it was worth mentioning either until people starting taking the piss out of your 20million valuation...seems quite convenient I don't where you get the idea that people are taking the piss out of my 20m valuation. My mate is a gooner and he tells me Wenger has been interested in him for some time since he was at Blackburn.I put that valuation to start a debate , I know it is too high, certainly at present but I have been watching Stoke for a long time and take it from me he is certainly one of the most talented players I have seen playing for us.His temperament will always be suspect but isn't that the case with a lot of very talented players, Cantona,Gazza etc.He is the best talent in midfield I have seen since Alan Hudson . So stop running our players down he was a brilliant signing by TP but sadly his talent couldn't develop under his very structured formation.Under LMH he could develop into one of the best midfielders in the prem and a team like Arsenal may well come in for him with a bid of at least £15m.

Talent alone he's probably worth at least £10m in today's market... but with his attitude and temprament he'll never go anywhere for more than £5m...

I'm sure we won't have too much trouble when it comes to pedaling him out to a bigger club.
