So we have signed a highly rated right side player and a highly rated left side player. Hopefully their service will turn Kenwyne into a 15 goal striker this season. Have to say i am confident i wanted pace and we have got it.Lets see what happens between now and january.

Avoiding injury KJ will easily hit 15 this season imo playing the way we do and with him first choice, as we saw at the weekend he looked a different player & it was simply because he scored goals in the cup tie, if we keep him in the team, keep giving him good service he'll have a great season.

I'm confident Kenny can deliver, he's done it before.
And if not, we've got Agudelo coming in January and we can have another bash at Diouf since he'll be in his last 6 months of his contract.

I'm also confident Jones can deliver with service from either side.

As far as I am concerned KJ is in the last. chance saloon. Talented., athletic and should be a nightmare to opposing defences but for whatever reason has underperformed for us. Yes I know we have not played to his strengths etc but we are now in a place where we can. It's upto him and I really hope he cuts it.

Yes I know we have not played to his strengths etc but we are now in a place where we can. It's upto him and I really hope he cuts it. It could have something to do with the fact that the poor guy hasn't exactly been given many chances to perform, having been left mouldering on the bench for the best part of two bloody years purely because of TP's star-struck obsession with Crouchy, who should never have come to us in the first place - er…… in a hugely expensive double-deal which also brought us Wilson Palacios…… THAT was a VERY bad day's shopping, and no doubt Arry's still laughing every time he thinks about it; in that instance alone you can't blame Peter Coates for tightening the purse strings. Remember the purple patch last December when Crouchy was out with the mouth injury and Kenwyne came back in for a number of games? Remember, in particular, the massive Boxing Day 2012 home game against Liverpool and our spectacular performance? KJ had two men on him all game and they still couldn't get anywhere near him - I've never seen Stevie G look so strained and totally ineffective. Then as soon as Crouch was over his mouth injury he came straight back into the team, KJ got dropped, and our form immediately plummeted like a stone non-stop until the end of the season, so much so that we ended up for a time hovering round the relegation zone - but STILL TP stubbornly refused to drop Crouch and bring Kenwyne from off the bench. That December purple patch, plus the last two games, shows that KJ should be our first-choice striker. 'It's not rocket science…………….'

I don't see it being the wide players' job to get balls into the box. Crossing the ball in to one bloke in the box who's heavily marked isn't going to help anything. The full backs and Adams and Wilsons can take care of delivery. The wide players need to be agents of chaos, cutting inside, getting into the box with pace and posing a goal threat.

So Kenwyne was good for a match last December and we should love him for it? The bloke isn't fit to wear the shirt most of the time. He's shite but unfortunately he's the best we've got.

I was disappointed in the service he got in the last match... Anyone else notice that every long ball sent up to him was 8 feet above his head??

Apart from the one good burst where he got in a scoring position he did nothing. If he could do 4 or 5 of them bursts and at least look like he was trying he would get no grief from me but he doesn't. He doesn't look like he wants to be on the pitch half the time.

To be fair on Sunday, I watched kenwynne up top on his own, chasing the ball around norwichs' defenders. As said already, the ball lumped up to him far over his head for him to do anything with. If we don't supply him, or crouch when he's playing, then how do we expect them to score goals? Both players are target forwards, not players who should have to run about all over the pitch

Like most of the team Kenwyne was awful on Sunday.
Many posters on here seem thrilled that one of our players had a poor game. There are some who will be gutted if Jones scores the winner next week.

I don't think he suits the system we're playing at the moment. We need someone with movement who will stretch the defenders and can create a few chances for themselves. Agudelo can't come quick enough as far as i'm concerned

I don't understand what this guy can do on a football pitch.
He does not run, jump, finish, assist. He does not do anything.
He slags TP off for playing sky ball and then goes on to jizz over Hughes.... If MH is your ideal football playing manager Jones then why are you no where near to hitting the back of the net!
stats are important for centre forwards and i bet in 12 months time (if he is still here) he as a better record of scoring under TP than he will under MH.
THE GUY IS 5HIT.
Give me crouch anyday of the week over Jones. i fancy crouch to score any chance over jones.
The only thing jones as got going for him over crouch is that he is quicker and stronger and could take a player on, BUT HE DOES NOT DO THAT! so why in hell does he get a shirt infront of him!

Kenwyne your time has come... and gone. Agree. Unfortunately, Jones doesn't have all the attributes needed to be a top Premier League striker. Sure, he has pace and strength, is good in the air, can hold up the ball and shoot, but he lacks two key attributes: passion and hard work, which means the rest is irrelevant because we never see it. Even if the "carrot" of a new contract makes him hungrier, we'll be speaking about the same problem again later. Hopefully we'll see Jones hit a good run of form until Christmas, then get whatever we can for him in the transfer window.
