When all we needed was Championship runners. Now we actually need proper footballers the Manager is not backed.
Just when an extra 20 odd million is guaranteed. Where is the money going Mr Coates?
As usual, it's amateur hour at the Brit.

Until the window's closed you can't really say the money's not being put in since we tend to do a lot of business in the last few days.

That's 3 more than usual, at this stage

It has to be the case that MH would have been told before his appointment what the transfer budget was. He took the job so you can only assume whatever he was told he was happy with.

I don't think we do have a team of hoofers, but we don't have the players to play the style we are attempting.

So.......you're making the assumption that the cheque book's closed and you're also making the assumption that he's lying about his thoughts on the squad? I suppose, come September, we can all make assumptions on which assumption was correct. Or maybe both

Well if we don't sign anyone (of note/marquee) by September, then you'll have a real dilemma. Has the cheque book been closed, or can't the manager see what Stevie Wonder can see? Having said that, do you think that we'd be sending Scholes and Cartwright over to Germany if either of the above were true?

Like I said, hope I'm wrong about it.

That would be the icing on the cake, but not essential. Wilson at RB and, with a mobile front three they could pass to, our MF will be fine.

If we are playing a 3 man midfield we only have one that's any good, Whelan isn't consistent enough to be a first team regular, Adam isn't good enough full stop and personally I'm still yet to be convinced that Palacios has sorted himself out, obviously a good front three would sort a few things out, but as it stands I don't think our midfield will be able to cope, you could be right with Wilson though, but I'm not sure he's currently considered for that position going from the friendlies.

Pugsley's fears are more than fair here. He's spot on. He may well be, but a bit premature. We have no idea what will happen between now and the 2nd September and we have no idea of how well, or not, the present squad will react to the new management team's approach. IMO.

If you really want to make an issue owt of nowt why not go on and on and on and on and on about the circular plaster on MLH's forehead on the picture on the cover of the Genoa programme? More interesting and apposite than this shite. I was really disappointed by it.
