Just got back from holidays did anything become of my idea of raising money for this charity by a optional collection on free coaches to away games???

I did mention make saturdays friendly or traing game free and voluntary collections for the trust but affraid they all scoffed . I find it an insult to the fans having to pay for a training game .. Think there was a lot that wished they hadn't gone now ..

Why Donna Louise, there are loads of other worthwhile charities? What a daft comment. That's a bit like me saying to someone who knocks on my door collecting for the Keswick Mountain Rescue Team "Why are you collecting for them and not for the North West Air Ambulance?" There is always another charity in need of money - that is no reason not to organise a collection for the Donna Louise Hospice who are, lest we forget, an official charity of the club.

Why Donna Louise, there are loads of other worthwhile charities? DLT is one of the very few charities I give to. Help for heroes, the poppy appeal, air ambulance and a children's cancer charity are the others. I don't give to any others. It's all about personal choice.

If you want to collect just do a different charity for each game

Get everyone to vote on here for for the local charity closest to their heart, choose the one with the most votes (or the top 3 or 4 if people would prefer to spread it out) and bob's your uncle. Would need to be policed well though; knowing the generosity of a lot of people when it comes to the likes of Douggie Mac and the DLT it will be a fair old wedge after 19 games.................

I have contacted dougie macc and they are looking at the possibility of collecting on Saturday this is my chosen charity but also give to others so if someone contacted other local charities I would gladly give to them

Not being funny but do you not think that some folk will start getting pissed off with a collection everytime you get on the bus? Do they collect for the driver as well? Not knocking it just asking.
