Its that time of year again when im thinking about getting the new shirt. Got me thinking. Why do the club charge us to have prem badges on the shirt if we want? We are paying them to advertise on us. Barclays is on the badges plus the Premier League itself can be classed as a global brand these days. Why dont they insist that the badges are put on all shirts as standard? Considering how much barclays pay to sponsor the premier league wouldnt it make sense for their logo to be seen on every prem clubs replica shirt sold. Its like charging us to have the bet365 logo on our shirt. Whats the difference?

A) It's a way of earning a few extra quid. B) Some of us think that you look like a twat wearing them on your sleeve.

1. The badges advertise Barclays brand not the Stoke City Brand.
2. And putting the badges on the shirt will take a minute or so - so they aren't going to do it for free and lose money.
3. It is a way of the club making a bit of money and it is YOUR choice as to whether you pay that money.

All of the above, and also the new home kit will look stupid without them on this year ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) . You'd just have two white squares on the sleeves.

Went to buy the new home top today after being very impressed by the pics on the net, must say I was let down and didn't bother in the end seems very cheaply made the badge is ridiculously small and as mentioned you have to pay for the prem badges or else it looks even worse which in turn makes the actual badge look even smaller, may get my sen a retro top instead

Because the white patches look daft without them. But yeah, the whole thing is ridiculous

If the Premier League passed a rule that they have to be on all shirts tho they wouldnt need to be ironed on like now. Surely they could just go straight into the design of the shirt. Im not saying that it would be a good thing and as mentioned im sure that alot of fans wouldn't like it. I'm just surprised in this day and age of mega money sposorships it isnt demanded by the sponsors. If i was the boss of Barclays id be demanding that they are on every replica shirt i see. Plus surely the Premier League could squeeze more money out of them for doing it too.
