OK totally hooked on the TV series and Series 3 episode 9 Red Wedding was up there with the best TV I've ever watched.
As I cant wait for Season 4 I've been out and purchased the books, believe that where the TV series ends Season 3 episode ten the book to carry on is Storm of Swords Steel and Snow but at what part of the book do I need to start at as upto now it's happened in the TV series.
For those that havent watched the TV series, its a very very good watch, prepared to be addicted.

problem with game of thrones is it can go episodes where fuck all happens, the red wedding was great viewing but the season finale which was the episode after not much happened.

You'll get hooked on the books mate, just as you do with the series. Usually I read at home when I've got nothing much on, but I'm addicted to these books to a point where I take it everywhere and get it out to read whenever I have ten minutes spare. Plus you learn a lot more about the characters ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) . But if you wanted to read the books to find out what happens in season four you can read part two of a storm of swords (Blood and Gold), but some things wont make sense, as some things are done differently. It might be worth reading part one of a storm of swords (which is what series 3 is based on) considering it was written as a whole book, split into two parts. The third series finishes around a third of the way through Blood and Gold anyway ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) . Goooarrnn Jon Snoowww

Cheers bud, believe it or not I treated the other half to the book collection only to find she had done exactly the same on the same day for me, Amazon FTW...

I'd never seen it before, but heard lots of good reviews so treated myself to the box set of series 1-2 which was on offer.
Absolutely brilliant, you have to watch 'one more' just to see what happens.
I'm three episodes into series 2, I only started watching them last week.

I came across an excellent link for all season three, blue ray quality :-) If you think series 1-2 are good youve seen nothing yet, dragons are immense.

I'm up to 'A feast for crows' in the books. I read the previous ones within a month or so but i'm struggling to stay interested in this one. I think i need a break and then i'll come back to it later Also, I watched the series before I read the books so it was a bit confusing as the storyline in the books is slightly different than the series. But i would recommend them to anyone who enjoyed the series ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/jitsPgqXBozY69AOPrPg.gif)
