Absolutely awesome place. The underground tube network is really good for getting about, don't believe the horror stories. Everywhere you look there is something to see. I'd recommend the view from the top of the Empire State building - but only after you've walked around and syou ahve some idea of what you are looking at. Gound zero was a very moving experience. I didn't expect it to affect me like it did - if you go be sure to check out century 21 right by it for some serious retail therapy. You'll absolutely love it, be sure to tip for pretty much everything and the New York people will be wonderful. oh - and for the most part it's quicker to walk than catch a taxi, with far better scenery!

Might want to buy a New York Pass, gets you into all the sights. If you are into sports a tour of Madison Sq Garden & Yankee stadium is amazing. Just wonder round and see what you like, you will have a great time! Buy a Rays Pizza & meet up with NYStevio off here

There's a big fuck off woman there I've been , and i must say, there are mostly very good looking people, no fat people apart from the odd big un in the chippy. There are plenty of places to go, but i MUST recommend the phantom of the opera at Broadway, simply fantastic. Macy's is a great shop(biggest in the world) and time square is beautiful at night when all lit up, i also recommend a visit to Jekyll and Hyde , if you have kids that is, very good experience. There's also a madam tussauds , and the chamber of horrors is frightening to say the least, my girlfriend came out crying and i was shaking for a good ten minutes after it! We stayed in the Waldorf Astoria, great hotel but you don't really need to be in a 5 star luxury one as you WILL be out all the time. There are also plenty of Irish bars which produce super Guinness and English sport. Of course if you're going to NY , you'll want to see the statue of liberty, when i went we could only catch a mini-ferry which took us about a mile away from it, we had to stay on the boat and take pictures from there, due to security probably!! The 9/11 site is a must see as well but i'm sure you'll know that. A good tip is instead of dining at your hotel(which will be expensive) for breakfast, just nip down to one of the Dehli's down the street, they have brilliant food, at great prices. Hope you enjoy it because i did!

By the way, DON'T go to century 21,my mate recommended that to me and seriously it is full of utter shite. No labels at all and only old men shop in there, we made the mistake of entering the place. Cheepo 21 ;D Macy's is the place for nice clothes mate

The Monty Python musical is running in New York. It's a must see, it's fantastic and gives you the chance to sample a show on Broadway while you are there.
As somebody else mentioned you must also go to the top of the Empire State, go either early or late though.
Myself and Mrs CoatesOut are booked up to go again later in the year, can't wait.
