Never been to an away game before but me and a couple mates (liverpool fans) were going to go up there and watch the game, will it be hard to get tickets? and when will they go on sale?

Tickets will probably be on sale, mid July. Cost around £40. If allocation is the same as the last couple of years, tickets will be hard for non season ticket holders to get. If scfc feel that the interest is there for 3000 Stokies, then they may ask for the larger allocation, which would be likely to reach general sale. Seen as your mates are Liverpool fans, then maybe you should try and get tickets in the home section, from LFC.

Last couple of years, the league games have been nowhere near sellout for Stoke fans, but 1st match and new manager will ensure a mad scramble, if the allocation is low.

Not the ideal fixture for Hughes to get first up. It means he will go to 14 Prem games without a win. Brings it home to you just how fast the heat will rise on his jacksy as the press and others start to amalgamate the QPR record with the Stoke City one. You'd have to believe we will beat Palace at home next match up, but if we don't the doom and gloom mongers will be swiftly out of the traps

would there be room in the home end? How do liverpool usually do for allocation, knowing my luck pissing off the liverpudlians won't be an issue as there won't be much to cheer about

Bet a scouser at work today £20 on this game. He says L'pool will take all 3 points, I get the draw & Stoke Victory. Come on Stoke get signing some class!

The "Stoke victory" I like your style Sir, almost as much as your Avatar! L'pool lost their first game of last season 3-0 to WBA squire. New manager & players out to impress might see us pull of an upset. I said to him and his Pals today this and we WILL be spending some money then I come on here tonight and read 1 or 2 coming in!? FFS surely not true. I want Wanyama & I want him now!

SANDBANKS YOU HAVE GIVE THE SCOUSER EVENS TO WIN AT HOME Not bothered it's just a wager at work and I get 2 results and he only gets the home win. I was thinking we may be spending some money this summer though then I read one or fucking 2 players. We need at least 4 quality signings.

Then again if we'd gone to Cardiff, Palace or Hull on the opening day and got spanked (not an impossibility) the heat may well have been cranked up to "arse scorching" in record time. The first four game are massive for us and Hughes. Fail to get a win from them and relegation becomes a genuine threat.

Just seen Hughes comments on this game “It will certainly be a good test of where we are and if we can produce a good performance then it will set us up for the challenges to come.” Not a mention of how massive a club they are or how far we've come. Very worrying

When you've been a Manu player or in that environment it doesn't come easily to put other teams up on pedestals above yourself in the way TP was always doing, those players carry an attitude of we're better than they are, we can beat them.
It can be taken as arrogance but really it's confidence and a feeling of you're in no way inferior.

Hughes? so you'll support the lads (several of whom let us down completely on many occasions last year) but give no support to the new manager who hasn't done ANYTHING wrong as yet for Stoke (and who, i presume you're aware, is PART of Stoke City) your illogical and completely unsubstantiated hatred of the manager knows no bounds Stafford!! it's the kind of attitude you expect from a 13 yr old girl in the playground who refuses to be friends with someone because she used to fancy the same boy as you when you were at Primary school....sad Sir, very very sad!

Just my opinion of the bloke. I don't like him and never will. I just think he is a cunt. I obviously hope he does well because that will be for the good of the club I support but even if he won us the treble he would still be a cunt. Must go now as it is my turn on the skipping rope.

Cloughie wasn't universally loved by people he met throughout the years and seen by some as touchy, arrogant, moody, egotisitical etc. but the same people still had masses of respect for him as a manager. try giving him a chance eh? see what happens

Stafford's the biggest hypocrite on this board. Likes to tell others how to behave but then contradicts himself with his own posts.

Because you don't like it? It's a message board so get over yourself. Many people didn't like Pulis but they still supported the club and suspect I am not the only one that thinks what I do about hughes, in fact I know I am not. It doesn't meant I don't support the club or want him to do well does it?

If I posted the same thing multiple times per day including making a signature to match, then I'm sure other people would get sick of it. All the shit you dished out whenever someone criticised Tone (in most case rightly) and here you are sticking the knife into Hughes when he hasn't done anything to deserve it. It's pathetic...imo.

I don't post anything multiple times a day about hughes. I have said very little about him since the initial appointment. I am just sitting back and watching to see if he is the god that some people think or just the anyone but Pulis man that some wanted. Like I said, I really do hope he does well because that will be good for the club I support. We will just have to wait and see but excuse me if I don't start pulling my puddin just yet.
