"renowned escapologist Harry Redknapp" wtf? Isn't he the only manager to be relegated from the Premier League twice? I don't recall any others but then my memory's not too good.

Wilson has been a very successful acquisition which has been proved by the number of consecutive games he has played under TP barring injury. If he does not fit into the FB position under MH it will be interesting to see if his games played ratio in midfield remains the same

An interesting one is Marc, especially when you talk about him as a central midfielder. When at Portsmouth he played centre back for a season, I distinctly remember Ric tearing him a new arse hole, before Salif scored.
However at the start of the next season when relegated he started central midfield for them and had a good rep as a passer of a football, we paid 1 million plus the Ginger Headed one (Kitson), and the man who fell over a dog (Lawrence).
This made him a 6-7 million pound player, and Tone started him at central midfield, and a game against villa springs to mind at home where he played a glorious through ball, and got caught in possesion. From here he then got moved around right back, left back etc, mostly left back.
This season he even looked at home at Centre Back.
However 2 games that do stick in my memory are Cardiff at home (F.A Cup), and United away in the league lost 2-1 away (Whitehead scored), in both games he was absolute quality, even against United he looked a class above in midfield, against Cardiff he hit the bar from 35 yards etc. I think given the time, and players around him he could be class.
I am not a fly by night fan, I aint missed a game home or away for 6 years, however the guy does have good technical ability, and could prosper, and with the change of manager (and I was a TP fan), this may open doors with both himself and Wilson Palacios (who looks good for 20 mins etc). These players would look like new signings with other full backs etc signed.
At the end of the day when you look at the 1 million plus Kitson and Lawrence, we spent a heck of a load on the bloke. Time to step up to the plate Marc.
Rant over

It's said you can tell the quality of a player by how much time he appears to have when he has the ball.
Wilson has plenty, by comparison Walters has none.
A good run without injuries and we'll see the best of him imho.
