Pulis has gone now, youth, like it or not.
The Chairman and his family own the club, so it's their call.
I've never been a fan of Hughes, but I'll give him a chance if/when he becomes our next manager.

Listen to the fans & the criticism of Mark Hughes on National Media from Supporters of Clubs that he has managed & who know what he is like. We do not want Mark Hughes as the new Stoke City Manager. Don't do it. Take a chance do something different to unite the fans. Listen knob head there's probably more people back Coates and are happy about Hughes than don't want him

Coates made an incredibly brave decision to appoint Tony Pulis. He made a brave decision to sack Tony Pulis. He bought a football club whose fans had held pretty "forceful" protests against him. Peter Coates definitely has balls. Indeed.

WTF is going on with all these shit threads being started by new members? Maybe the new members are joining because of all the crap posted by the long term members .....which also helped to get Pulis out of his post only to be possibly replaced with a man not a lot of people want. I bet I do not get 'poster' of the year now...but who gives a sh&t

Peter Coates definitely has balls. For all you dreamers that thinks coates gives his money for the love of the club, you must be joking. He will sell one day and treble his money. We will still be here supporting the badge and the history. Its fair to say with the sacking of pulis, the fans were looking to be excited....He has failed and to be honest, he alwasy has. Take away a lucky hire with pulis and his 60m (which he will get back x 3). We might aswell of kept pulis...whats the point??

Took some balls for him to sack Pulis. Pulis wanted sacking, he'd dragged the club and the football into none football.

Come back when you have more experience of following stoke and understanding why he is the owner. Load of boll8cks !!! The man loves Stoke City and without him we would in the lower leagues and you would be supporting someone else!

Peter coates is a stoke supporter but he is also abusinessman. Are you forgetting about him being involved in the ruthless sell off of the victoria ground? Are you forgetting his awful decision making, with his managers historically. Are you forgetting years of selling our best players. Peter coates has invested his money in stoke in the knowledge he can sell at any point now and make at least 100m profit...Time will tell my friend. This is a unambitious hire for sure.

However if his interest in football is just financial he could have bought into a club where the fans, me included hadn't been so vociferous in theri opposition to him previously. I also think you have an inflated notion of the value of a club like ours. I really don't think anyone is stumping up ÂŁ180M for Stoke City any time soon.

Peter Coates is a life long stoke fan and has a passion for the club which has cost him millions. He took over the club against the wishes of his children but has now changed their opinion of the club and their commitment to it is strong. Businessman he is but no business man (unless worth billions nowadays!) purchases a club as it does not make business sense. He is a fan with a lot of money and went through every emotion to get promoted as did the rest of us. He is not in it for the money, and I believe you are in a dreamland if you think selling the club will give him a 100million profit after deductions of what he and his family have spent so far. Wake up and smell the coffee my friend.

They would own the ground and all the land. The good will of 27,000 fans every game...It would be interesting to see a valuation.

He dismissed our most successful manager then it looks like we appoint the same type of manager this appointment is by a man whos choice of previous managers is not very good.I was looking forward to a new start now I feel lower than if we had kept TP. Correct...The chairman was lucky with Pulis after recruiting loads and loads of shit managers. He went for an easy freeby again. as laways... I bet whelan at wigan gets a better manager...now then!! I wonder what you were thinking when we got promoted or when we were walking up Wembley Way ![(slaphead)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/x7GhxArXJzjvmIlugu2X.gif)
