Bosingwa will sit on his inflated salary unless someone is stupid enough to match his wage or QPR pay towards it. Mark Wilson would be fine at right back. Let's get a decent left back in and let one of Wilko or Shotton move on.
None of us know which of his ex-players he might be on good terms with and they might not be the ones who we'd like anyway. As a very good ex-striker you'd hope he'll be astute when it comes to looking at our goalscoring problems.

Stop trying to compromise...we don't need to anymore...those days are over. Lets get a proper right back and a proper fucking left back.

Iis a top class international right back now? Is he regularly selected for his country? He was awful defensively for QPR and his performances weren't at all inline with what you'd expect of such a 'mega-star' We weren't jizzing all over Jonathan Woodgate when he was here because we saw him for what he is an ageing star on the wane. Not the promising young centre back that signed for Real Madrid. Players deteriorate, it's a fact of life. Its a totally different situation with Bosingwa though? You are aware 12 months ago he started in the champions league final? And won the champions league final? Come on Ramblers you know as well as I do that the situation is totally different to say a Woodgate. Bosingwa spent most last season sitting in the stands in a mood. It had absolutely fuck all to do with him being "awful defensively" and being "past it". He was there for the money...think that's pretty clear. Is he a regular? Be surprised if he starts at the next world cup but will almost certainly be in the squad. But I suppose Cameron, Wilko and Shotton would make the Portugal squad right? I suppose they were also capable of playing in the champions league final this time last year? I'm happy to accept that Bosingwa is better than those three. What I don't get is how you harp back to past glories to justify players being Amazing. It's Tuncay all over again. Yes he played in the Euros, yes he scored a Hat-trick against the Man Utd reserve team but you kept banging that drum when he was sat on the bench at Bolton unable to get a game in Owen Coyle's relegated Bolton side. He WAS awful defensively, so much so that he got the Alan Hansen treatment on Motd which is normally reserved for real horror show defending. Chelsea fans don't Bosingwa, QPR fans don't rate him and if he comes here then Hughes really can fuck right off.

Can a free transfer really be considered a bad signing? Also it'd be good for someone to make his best 11.

This is great! We are actually talking about full backs, new signings from Sparky's old clubs, wondering what system he will play etc. Last season the only topic of conversation was TP and his inflexible ways. It HAS to be an improvement, surely? Exactly tricky. One of things I hated with TP's methods were that us as fans always had to compromise. We hopefully have a manager in Hughes who will play players in their correct positions while showing a more ambitious approach. And I bet certain players are revelations played in their correct positions. I wasn't sold on Hughes at first, but I think he will surprise a few of us on here. Let's face it, at least if we sign somebody this season, we haven't got the worry that Hughes won't play him or play him in a role completely alien to him!

Hes a decent international right back though who probably has about 2 half decent years still in him and is still infinitely more competent than our current shite at full back combined. He can run with a ball for a start.

I'm particularly interested to see what he'll do with 4 players. Whelan and Walters were nailed on starters ever week under Pulis...will Hughes tolerate their lack of quality? The other two players are Adam and Wilson. Will he start Adam in midfield and will he play Marc Wilson in his proper position (as a midfielder?) Interesting times ahead for sure.

One of the most frustrating things with Pulis was his insistence in signing 30 something year olds with no resale value....

If we sign Boswinga then frankly full on rioting at the fist game would be appropiate

Hughes wants his head examining if he goes near any of those dicks at QPR. Talented on paper but awful attitude. Come on Rob...we cant judge these players solely on their QPR career in the same way we cant judge Hughes on it surely? Indeed ...there seems to be something inherently wrong with the set up at QPR , that goes beyond the manager.....Hughes cant be totally at fault for their relegation , he was sacked before Christmas ...Harry had more than enough time to work his magic there but was unable to do so...I am loathe to judge him on what went on there ...clearly some of the players need to take a look at themselves , but there was talent there no doubt about it

Rossi, wind your neck in. I think we need a left back and right back desperately but will we get both? Failing a new right back I'd much rather have Wilson there than Wilko, Shotton or Cameron. If money is no object I'd love Micah Richards.

The Bosingwa that QPR fans were ready to lynch? Yeah like I say..Bosingwa was the first name that came to mind! To be fair...whatever you think of his time at QPR...hes on a different level to any right back we've had under Pulis. Bosingwa was also voted chelsea's worst ever full back

Come Bayern...its time for revolution! I'm thinking along the lines of... Butland (Begos gone surely) Bosingwa Huth Shawcross New Left back Pennant Granero Nzonzi Adam Hoilett Jerome That would be fucking orgasmic on a number of levels. Bosingwa is dreadful Rossi! As for Pennant he won't get a new contract. Can't see the club pursuing 30 something has-beens anymore. Spot on boss, spot on.
