Hellu!
I think we're in for another three points here, rather surprisingly. A Top Ten position at the end of the season is within reach! TP never to leave it will be then..

Don't think it'll be quite as simple as that haha. Sunderland will be seething from their 6-1 and will want to assure safety, even without Sessegnon. We were great against QPR away to get a win but I think we'll draw this one at best.

We will take the lead with a Huth header, they will equalize in the last ten minutes with a free kick from Larsson.

i think we need to calm down, stop getting carried away and stop basing things simply on what happened at QPR....a bit of a reality check, it was QPR FFS, against any other side we'd still have looked bloody poor ourselves!

I'd be happy with a draw. I just hope we don't embarrass ourselves live on telly

Sunderland don't need any new arseh*les tearing.
They've got plenty. Di'Canio.
If we stick to this urgent, pressing football we're nailed on... keep them on the backfoot.
They've got key players out, and El Duce's halo has slipped...
Huth will regain the power in his forehead and score with an header. Which will signal the commencement of a minor rout. 0-3 to the Mighty Mighty Potters.
But obviously that's the future so owt can happen.
The portents look quite good though: Bego looks immense, Shotton, Crouch, N'Zonzi, Adam, Jerome all improving. Crap opposition perhaps, ~{the in's and out's of that is another thread full.?} We've been on an upward trajectory since that dire Wigan second half at the Brit. Upwards and onwards...
We coped admirably with the loss of Wilson. Managing change. Evolution.
I can only be positive about our prospects for Monday, though I do wish it was happening tomorrow.

Musik, do you still do your superbly detailed match reports a few days before the match is actually played? I haven't read one for ages, and they were always the best thing on this board. Number of yet to be discovered axe murderers among the crowd: Sunderland 1, Stoke 2 Get in! Away win!

If the 3 Ws are out and Mattys fit I'd go with
..............................Bego............................
WHead.......Huth..............Ryan........Shotts
...................NZonzi..........Adam................
Walters............................................Ethers
.........................KJ..........Jerome...............
I'd pick KJ ahead of Crouch for the following reasons
- playing against an old club hell be fired up - His extra pace and aerial ability will terrorise Cueller and OShea
They're there for the taking if we go for it. I wouldn't be overly concerned with Adam in CM as they're not too pacy themselves.

Does anybody know how many tickets we've sold so far? I was going to give this one a miss because I couldn't get home, but I've managed to blag a lift off a Sunderland fan and a couple of free tickets! Looking forward to it, hopefully we can come away with at least a point.

300 tickets sold according to some chap on P&G last night
2 facts: A:Sunderland have played 17 Monday night SKY televised games (including at least 1 v Stoke) & won none B: Danny Graham has not scored yet
regardless of all other factors those two facts point to a home win with Graham scoring

Any news on how many tickets have been sold?
Monday night, 8pm, Sunderland, bank holiday. It's like Sky have tried to make it as hard as possible for fans to get to the game

Apart from the wingers, and only because ours have been shit, you wouldn't want any of their team. Their best player has been Mignolet and he isn't as good as Begovic. If we go there with a positive outlook we should be O.K.

Would anyone else push the boat out for Adam Johnson this summer?

Wouldn't have Adam Johnson on a free transfer. Big time Charlie on the pitch, disruptive off it. Always capable of the odd wonder goal, but I said ages ago he'd be the next David Bentley. I was wrong, he's worse.

Back to normal away performance for this one, negative war of attrition hoping to hold out for a push in the last few minutes.

Not a lot of difference between the two teams when all are fit. The game at the Brit with MON was simply dreadful. I think it even beat our 2nd season draw at their place as absolute dross on the highest scale
However, they have 3 of their key players out, which if it was us, would decimate us. But you know we wont have a go. You know we will go for a point and a drop of lady luck. They will be smarting and fighting for their lives.
Right now would take another woeful, bore the Sky viewers to death draw.
