With the info we had at the time it was the right decision not to sign him, its one of the few things we've done right recently, sorry should have worded it a lot better. Thing is though boskamp we dont know what the info was and whatever info it was proved extremely costly. Wouldnt it be fair to question our medical related decision making? We let Ba go and brought in Palacios who clearly has severe issues whether it be physical or mental or both. Made worse by the fact that we were prepared to pay more for Palacios than the alleged Ba fee. The research that the club has done into potential signings ie Palacios and Ba has been nothing short of disastrous and quite frankly unforgivable. If he failed a medical or they had doubts about his op/injury then they were right not to risk it, Palacios one is strange, if it is something with his mentality thn its not the easiest thing to judge in just a short time like a medical etc, I can't see how much research they could have done for it, asking the bloke selling him aint going to do any good.

Pulis will be remembered by me not only as the man who spunked £80m + on a side bereft of any skill pace or creativity, but also as the pilchard who cost us another £90m + in lost revenue when he got us relegated in our 150th year. The sooner this clown departs the better.

The Crouch/Palacios double swoop was the beginning of the end. The same Crouch you had nailed-on to be top scorer this season ? Yes. I placed that bet in the knowledge that TP thought the sun shone out of Crouch's arse and he would pick him every week. Sound reasoning and a sound bet, despite the fact it probably won't come in. (I think he's one behind Walters as it stands) I was one of the first people on here to call the signing of Crouch as a bad one when nearly everyone else was wanking over the fact that he'd played for England.

Maybe an over reliance on playing his "trusted" players out of position regardless of form, tactics & necessity.
Maybe playing a direct style with big target men.......but not playing wingers who can beat a player or cross the ball.
Maybe not playing our best 11 players (check ou the quality oft our bench).
To summarise.....playing round les in square holes.

I think TP's decision to leave a lot of his senior players at home for the Valencia away match lost him a bit of respect in the dressing room. Bang on the money. I've hated the manager ever since for that. Insult of the highest order for the fans who made the trip.

At the start of the euro run for me.We had 2 fit strikers and on form in the previous season and no back up wingers.Walters, jones, ethers and pennant were flogged like pit ponies for 7 games while pulis AGAIN waited til deadline day to sign any sort of back up.
Then came the valencia farce............

The rot started Xmas 2011 when we needed a few more points with half a season left and we only made it by the skin of our teeth. Xmas 2012 we had the same scenario and we have done the same again but this time its going to be a lot tougher.
