Not rocket science ,wingers for one reason or another have been poor all season whether it be fall outs, poor form or injurys. He doesnt trust Charlie in a central two, so to me it was obvious we should be going 4/3/3 for weeks. For gods sake Pulis try it,what you keep trying isnt working.

Agreed, Kev.
I'd even prefer 5-3-2 than bodging our 4-4-1-1 like we have done for months.

A Pulis 4-3-3 is 4-5-1 in the real world though, would be pointless.

The problem is that whatever formation Pulis opts for, outside of his usual 4-4-1-1, it automatically becomes even more defensive than the one we use now.
4-4-1-1 features arguably 3 attacking players. I would say it includes 2 right now but there you go.
5-3-2 would feature 2 attacking players.
4-3-3, in Pulis world, would include only 1 attacking player.
Pulis picks the bulk of his players for their defensive abilities which is why, whilst I would support a change in formation under another manager, I probably wouldn't under this one.

Maybe Jamo.
To be honest, any team that includes Cameron, Shotton and Walters wouldn't be one of my choosing to be honest.
Cameron is an accident waiting to happen. Walters is plain and simply useless and Shotton, rightly or wrongly, looks terrified.
I just think that with Pulis, he overloads all formations with defensive players and 5-3-2 gives him more options than anything to play even more defensively. It did, however, serve us well during our last relegation battle so who knows.
I just don't think we have the players for 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 given how shit I believe Cameron is. I am just amazed so few others have spotted just how bad he is.

He's definitely bad mate, I just don't rate him at all but I think it's the best use of who we have available given Pennant won't be picked.

There would be no cover for our fullbacks then, and this is essential in a Pulis team.
