Without this pair, who knows where we'd be.
Larus Sigurdsson, the man who Gudjon came to scout. This was when he first found Stoke and founded his interest in launching a consortium to take us over.
As for Michael Owen - The legendary 'Michael Owen's Soccer Skills' programme that was enough to convince the Icelanders to bid for the club.
The Icelanders kept us afloat for a few years while Mr Coates amassed his fortune. They also appointed Tony Pulis.
Good stuff. Anybody else?

Ilford, I agree, possibly going bump only because "saint" Peter stole the club, prevented us from being promoted by selling our best player at a crucial time, failed to invest, appointed poxy moxey, created "golden shares" so he could never be voted out and HAD to sell before his slimy dealings cost him his FA board seat.
Some of us have long memories. He's not spent that much this time round either if you consider the net income against expenditure.
I'll cheer just like you when we get promoted, but it could and should have happened a long time ago.

IMHO that isn't entirely accurate.

Ilford, if we don't keep reminding people of the truth, it will lie hidden as a footnote. It's said history is written by the victors. That may have been the case in previous centuries, but we're better informed and educated these days. Long may your pen (and mine) be mighty!

technically it should be Toddy Orlygsson and not Larus
