Bertshin away @ WBA when he scored in the 4.1 defeat (a long long time ago in a galaxy far away ...)
must have been some goal bonus

Mickey Thomas at Bradford re 1989 under Alan Ball. We thought we were going straight back up...what deluded fools we were!

Bertshin away @ WBA when he scored in the 4.1 defeat (a long long time ago in a galaxy far away ...) must have been some goal bonus That was a memorable Bertsch mental, but my bestest one was at Huddersfield in 1987. We were 2-0 down at half time and Tony Ford pulled one back early in the second half. We huffed and puffed but it looked as though we were going to lose until The Bertsch popped up with a last minute equaliser. It was at the other end of the pitch from where the travelling Stokies were congregated, and after scoring, The Bertsch ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate with us! He put more effort into that goal celebration than Vincent Pericard has put in during his two years at Stoke!

Bertsch never seemed to run during a game but I think he was just preserving his energy for the mental!! Bertsch you are a Stoke legend!

I'd go for Mickey Thomas away at Bradford as well, it was a night match if my memory serves me right? Lenny's celebration at Cov last week is also worthy of a mention.
I can't quite remember Johnny Butlers celebration away at Vale, but i'm sure that was good as well?

So no mention of Griffin against Coventry. I didn't even see it from the Sentinel, frigging fog.
But not only does he start his 'celebration' before it's even in, he goes on to give it the "I do that all the time" nods, and generally tries to look cool. But ends up looking a twat.
Top mental, good luck next year when you get palmed off, and that's after jumping ship for Derby. Mind you, they might come calling again.
