You are cleverer than I am I was also interested in the piece immediately above about William McGregor who, 120 years ago yesterday, called the meeting in Manchester which founded the Football League. I quoted this when I spoke about Gam£ 39 at the FA Council. He invented the simple concept of a league in which everyone plays each other twice - once home and once away, which has stood the test of time - until the money-grabbing Premier League tried to mess around with it.
