Hellu! One of the most important games for decades possibly. The Brit Att: 26734 The ref: Knut C Bandhagen from Morton-Baslett Linesmen: Eva-Uwe Brichinhollow from Hastondale and Douglas Multisenior Dartarrow from Trollsminster 4th Official: Rasper Johnjohn Hayes from Gryttsea The Stoke City Line up:Nash Wilkinson-Cort-Shawcross-Dickinson Lawrence-Delap-Whelan-Pearson Sidibe-Fuller Subs: Simonsen, Cresswell, Diao, Pugh, Bothroyd Bristol City Line up:Basso Orr-McAllister-Fontaine-Carey Murray-Noble-Carle-McIndoe Showunmi-Adebola Subs: McCombe, Wilson, Skuse, Brooker, Byfield The GAMEBristol City were intended to surprise us at the start of this game. Almost everyone pushed forward and it was obvious they wanted an early lead. Stoke had to defend the first five minutes, but did so well. Nash made a couple of saves, but noone really spectacular. In the 15th minute Delap reached Sidibe, but the Mali man found it difficult to pass the keeper and tried a chip instead that nearly went in - it hit the bar and the crowd began to fear it was just "one of those days" when nothing is going our way. Unfortunately, Ameobi who had been seing medical attention in Newcastle during the week after that injury he got, wasn't fit enough to play. So it was the old pair Sidibe-Fuller up front again. And luckily, the staff think Ameobi will be able to make it vs Colchester. In the 28th minute Stoke got another thrilling chance when Lawrence hard shot from about 20 meters after a terrific run almost hit the near post. Showunmi fell in the penalty box a couple of minutes later, without any physical contact from any Stoke player, so the striker was shown the yellow card. In the 38th minute Michael McIndoe got a free kick after a slightly reckless challenge from Wilkinson (who made the yellow card stats equal in the first half). In fact, the ball almost got in, and the situation got really intense. The Bristol City manager thought it was a controversial decision made by the referee but he had consulted both the linesmen, the 4th official and even his old grandma by the phone, and noone thought the ball was in. No goal then! Instead Fuller got his first and only chance during the first half. It was a long throw by Delap again, in the 42nd minute, when Fuller got the ball at his feet, simply turned around quickly and fired the ball in! The sound level from the crowd home peaked and reached 112 dB! In the second half Stoke had a surprising chance of increasing their lead in the 52nd minute when Sidibe got an opportunity to score once again. But left with the keeper he made the mistake of shooting too early. It was an easy catch for Basso. Then it seemed Potters were trying to defend their lead, with 38 minutes to go plus stoppage time. Or was it just Bristol City who had one of their better periods? Tony Pulis was frustrated anyhow. Both Showunmi and Adebola missed opportunities from close range before Noble somehow managed to fool Nash by an extremely long shot that went over everyone and in to the goal, in the 69th minute. Then Stoke luckily got back into the game and Lawrence saw when the ball almost went in, but it was stopped at the goal line by McAllister. Both teams then made some changes, in the 74th minute it was Sidibe off-Bothroyd on, Delap off-Cresswell on, Murray off-Skuse on and Showunmi off-Byfield on. It didn't change the game much though. But the result changed in the 88th minute, when McIndoe got a long ball from McAllister, passed the Potters keeper and made it 1-2. Gloomy... The STATSSTOKE CITY FC 1 (1) - BRISTOL CITY 2 (0) Shots on/off target: 12/3 - 4/8 Corners: 7 - 4 Crosses: 10 - 7 Yellow cards: 1 - 1 Red cards: 0 - 0 Penalties: 0 - 0 Ball possession: 62 - 38 % Crowd stats: Wet their pants after one/several of the goals: 12 - 22 Have a pair of speakers at home: 22435 - 2312 Bought an amplifier in the rain recently: 2 - 0 making some lunch for me//:musik

Stoke 2 - BC 2 . Hull will drop points earlier in the day, laying it on a plate for Stoke or the Robins to overhaul them. BUT - In a bad-tempered affair, both teams cancel each other out. Stoke will be set to take all three points until ref Mike Riley mysteriously adds an extra 4 minutes at the end (as a result of dealing with at least one sending off and 3 bookings during the game). In a last ditch assault on goal, we concede a soft equaliser to leave things wide open again. Crowd - an irritable 24,500.

Just seen musik's karma. Best laff I've had for ages. Well done for pointing it out, Mr D. I've given him a smite too. Musik was always different. Bloody good selection musik. That side would win the game but we all know Pulis aint gonna play it. OS.
