Pearson looked disappointing against Coventry so i wouldn't be suprised if he was used as an impact player from now on.
As WD says, as long as the main men start, who cares.

Thats the team id go with. I think Pearson will play if Lawrence does'nt with Cres on the Right.

Cresswell has been the weak link in the side since Xmas, we've now got Lawrence Pearson Delap and Whelan fully fit so why this STRIKER should continue to underperform in MIDFIELD is a joke!!

As WD says, as long as the main men start, who cares. £500k loan fee and big wages is a lot of £££ for an impact player! Surely a supposed £2.5m midfielder is preferable on the left wing to a hopelessly out-of-form striker?

I'm with Evans on this one. Would much rather Cressie on the bench to come on as a sub really, i thought pearson was good at cov personally, made a few good runs into the box one he nearly scored from. Cresswell looked so tired at the end of coventry, if he starts i would like to see him subbed. Got i'm shitting it about this game now.

I'm not too fussed if Cressy plays instead of Pearson.
We need to win, we need goals and Cressy has nearly a dozen to his name so far this season.
Yeah, I know he should have scored the winner himself at Coventry last week, but he's still capable of scoring and that's why I think he should get the nod.

He's got Elliot in the Brizzle team.
I thought he was injured?

Two observations.
The team that played earlier in the season at Bristol was not the strongest we've put out all season. Matteo and Eustace (not up to speed then) played in midfield, Delap (also out of form) on the left with Vincent up front. Bristol should be in for a bit of a surprise facing the current team.
Second, the dificult decision is left mid, and I'm not sure it matters who starts, because it will be one of possibly 2 changes. If we're winning I think Cressie/Pearson will play, probably with Cressie starting. Dave F is right, he carries more of a goal threat. If things aren't going well, think Bothroyd might come on on the left for a 433 push, with Ameobi replacing Mama.
Big, big game, and please can we score first for a change!

The article is was not written by Spinks its a guy called Steve Shaw.
He has got it wrong- that team wont be the team that starts by a long chalk.

I'm more worried about full backs than left mid. Very worried in fact that Pugh will get the nod ahead of dickinson.

Pugh is TP's favoured left back at home, but he was done like a kipper by Sinclair and I think he's got to keep it tight at the back. Surely we've got enough firepower and options for at least one goal, so a clean sheet would great.
I think Dicko will start tomorrow, Pugh on the bench with Simmo, Pearson, Bothroyd and Ameobi. Strong bench.

Surely Pulis wouldn't okay an initial investment of circa £700,000 on Pearson, and pencil in a total £2.5m deal for a player he thought could operate in the Premiership.....and then leave him out for a horribly out-of-form and out of position Cresswell?
Pulis is his own man who sometimes goes off the beaten track...but that would be one of his strangest moves ever

Pulis clearly loves Cressie's workrate, and the fact that he's a bit of a set piece goal snaffler.
I like Pearson, and maybe Tone thinks he's one for the long term. If Pearson plays, I'll be happy, but I just think Tone will start with Cressie. (Especially if he also starts with Pugh.)

Having said that, I'd go for Dicko instead of Pugh at LB; I think it'll be more his type of game. Lest we forget though, a certain Mr Riley has the whistle tomorrow...

I wouldn't overly fancy Riggott, out of position, against an old-fashioned winger like McIndoe.

Agreed FullerMagic, but I think he will play Riggott and Cort, but he also wants to play Ryan. let's cut to the chase. My team would be:
Nash
Wilko Cort Shawcross Dicko
Lawrence Delap Whelan Pearson
Sidibe Fuller
Think Tony's team wil be
Nash
Wilko Cort Riggott Dicko
Lawrence Delap Whelan Cresswell
Sidibe Fuller
