Stoke boss Tony Pulis gave BBC Radio Stoke the lowdown on his side's injury situation:
"Shola [Ameobi] is not as bad as we first thought so he might have an outside chance of being involved.
"Griff [Andy Griffin] will be a little bit longer but we're still hopeful of him maybe making the Colchester game.
"Liam Lawrence has been training but he won't be training with the ball and he won't be doing anything that will aggravate the groin.
"He's been in the pool and on the bike, but again he'll be a last minute decision."
