I'm a Stokie living in Bristol of all places and can't make it back to Stoke this weekend, so this is a shout out to any other Stokies based down here for getting together in a bar or pub to see the game on Sky and creating our own slice of the Brit!
Respond to this thread and we can sort out plans. Am thinkin' either the Walkabout or Sports Cafe.

Bristol has the largest proportion of vegetarians of any UK city. A bloke in Edinburgh told me that.

I'd be careful folks, depends what pub in bristol you go to, wolves came into Bar BS3 and started singing wolves songs in the middle of a city pub and it all kicked off do'h Just keep ya heads down you'll be fine!!!

Well Bar BS3 is right next to Ashton Gate, so it's not surprising there was trouble. I'm thinking more about somewhere in the City Centre, and even then just a gathering to roar on some Stoke support... not to rub Bristol noses in it (I do actually want to see them go up too, just not at our expense!).

I will be at the match but for all Bristol based Stokies who want to watch it in a local pub the best bet if you want a pub full of people rooting for the potters is to head into gas territory. Maybe the John Cabot or Victoria in Gloucester Rd?

Ah, never thought of that. Would be an even better atmosphere with a few Stokies and a pub full of Gas screaming for the Potters! Will deffo keep Gloucester Rd. in mind. So yeah, any Stokies around the area that day and wanna see our biggest game for 12 years, lemme know and we can sort something!

How's about the Roo Bar just off Whiteladies? Loads of screens in there. There was another Stokie in there for the Palarse game, although I sloped off looking disgusted with the performance after the match and didn't really say hello.
It being North-West Bristol there's basically no chance of running into any real Bristolians that far north of the river. Failing that, John Cabot is at least in Rovers territory, so we might get some sympathetic hangers-on.

I may still be in London on Saturday but, if I make it back to Bristol, I might well consider the Gloucester Road.

lwspj - if you make it to Gloucester Rd, what pub you planning on: The Anchor or the John Cabot?
Do it for ben88 - Would your girl's uncle and cousin be up for watching the game somewhere as well you think?

It should be great in the pubs close to the Mem because Rovers are home on Saturday so there will be plenty of fans who stay over to cheer on the potters to beat the shitheads. The John Cabot always was a Rovers stronghold (a bit too mental in there sometimes) but all of the pubs up from there should be rammed with Gas. There is also the Wellington just outside the ground.
