The bloke is deluded if he thinks they should have won last night, he spoke as though he was trying to save his job, even if he has just got a new contract

"We bossed the game for 75 minutes and were denied a blatant penalty that would have given us an unassailable lead in a game we deserved to win". The bloke is a muppet and a dead man walking IMO. Barcodes will be looking for another messiah in New Year.

He would be laughing all the way to the bank though, having signed an 8 year contract

I just hope he missed the small print.
Clause 366, Para 15c, part VII
If at any time we the company think you are complete wank you can just f##k off and we won't owe you a single penny.

Ee I ee I ee I o Down the premier league you go.
Hate this thing with managers trying to save face. Lambert uses the 'playing all youngsters who will only get better if you give them (me) time' Rodgers: big 3 year project to play the Barcelona way (if you keep paying me and keep me)
They're all blagging the long haul yet with no promises. It seems if you are trying to play the 'right way' you tend to be given longer with the fans. Liverpool have fallen for it hook line and sinker.

In fairness to Pardew both Ba and Cisse had decent chances to make it 2-0 last night (two vital saves by Begovic by the way!) if one of them goes in then it's game over.
Having said that to suggest that they dominated the game is nothing short of ridiculous!

Yeh but any keeper worth his salt would have saved them. Pardew is simply deluded if he thinks his team should have won last night. Sounds like a man excusing for his job.

Any keeper worth his salt would have saved Ba's shot that led to them taking the lead If it was the other way round, Stoke 1-0 up on Tyneside with 10 minutes to go having been under no pressure at all, you'd be disappointed to not have won as well!
