Liam Lawrence has issued a rallying cry to Stoke's fans ahead of Saturday's crucial clash with Bristol City.
Lawrence came off the bench to score the winner in the 2-1 win over Coventry to take the Potters back to the top of the Championship.
The 26-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke: "It's going to be one of this club's biggest games for many years.
"I would say to all the fans that we want to get the Brit full. If we get a result then anything is possible."
Lawrence played through the pain barrier at the Ricoh Arena as he continued his recovery from a groin injury that kept him out of the defeat to Crystal Palace.
His winner came after Ricardo Fuller's penalty cancelled out Elliot Ward's opener for the Sky Blues, also from the penalty spot.
"I'm elated" said Lawrence. "Everyone is buzzing to be back on top of the league, but of course now our attention turns to Bristol City.
"I've got that feeling, I'm tingling with excitement. We keep saying we can't rely on other teams and now we don't have to.
"We will do what we have to, and keep trying to win games."

Lawrence can't be captain because to quote TP " Liam's abit of a dope " ;D
Seriously I wouldn't make him captain . He's abit of a loose cannon like Fuller and I wouldn't want either of them to change .
Delap to skipper the side .

Delap with his experience at the top level would make a good captain.
