news.sky.com/story/991959/missing-april-jones-got-into-van-willinglyA missing five-year-old girl who was last seen getting into a van climbed into the vehicle without a struggle, police have said. April Jones was playing with friends near her home in the Bryn Y Gog estate in Machynlleth, mid Wales at around 7pm on Monday when she went missing.
She was last spotted by another child getting into a grey or light-coloured van wearing a purple knee-length coat with grey fur around the hood, a white polo top and black trousers. She is thought to have been abducted.Doubt it will do any good posting it on here but you never know. The more expose it gets the better I suppose .

It's terrible when this happens
I bet the police start by looking close to home as the last three cases of this type has proved.
However what the fuck is a 5 year old doing outside at 7pm playing with friends, seemingly unsupervised

Only going off the reports so don't know the exact circumstances, but my kids certainly won't be roaming the streets unsupervised at 5 years old at midday, never mind when it's dark

to be fair Machynlleth is a very small little town in the middle of nowhere really, not as if it's a sprawling metropolis with people trawling the streets (despite the way the media label it as "Close to Aberystwyth" it isn't that close really, just somewehre people have heard of so people can get the general geography in their head). it's about as close to the picture of a sleepy little town as you can get in Wales

Paedos Animals Traffic Accidents Loads of different dangers about. In today's day and age kids need constant supervision.

In today's day and age kids need constant supervision. yeah i know, 5 is a tad young to say the least but in a very small market town that no one really visits, pretty much everyone knows each other and it's quietly tucked away from the rest of the world with not much going on and you can see why kids are allowed out (like they used to be when i was growing up) if anything it just highlights that nowhere nowadays is as safe as it used to be i suppose. such a shame that i have such good memories of going out as a kid, going to my mate's at the end of the road and all of us going down the park together on our own and that's just what kids did! now unfortunately my two little girls will grow up without ever having memories like that!

Man arrested and the police have sealed off a main road into the town. Very bad feeling they may have found something bad.

The saddest and most sickening part of all of this is that you just know the peice of shit will be known to police and has probebly done something before but because of our soft arsed justice system he is walking the streets.

This kind of story scares the living daylights out of me as a parent of both a 16 and 6 year old. Not much in life frightens me, but predators prowling as opportunists to snatch my babies sickens me to the pit of my stomach! I hope for a happy ending for April but my head says it won't be the case

What a fucked up society where kids can't play outside their homes. Outside their homes? It was 200m away from the home I thought ? That's actually quite far for a 5 year old to be on a bicycle at 7:30 pm. You are right society is fucked up.
