Looked out of the kitchen window yesterday evening and there was a Sparrowhawk ripping apart a collard dove, she sat there a good 20 mins tearing it apart beforw flying away. I went and picked up the carcass and remnants of it's stomach, seeds and a whole peanut and threw them away, an hour later she came back and was sat on top of a garden chair looking for it. Best thing the whole time was a blackbird sat on a bush watching it, you'd have thought it would have gone far away.
Anyway this morning for the first time in ages i wasn't woken up at 5.00 AM by a hob nail boot wearing dove walking on my roof and "cooing" a 110 decibels ;D

Wish they'd have a go against the Wood Pigeons that get in my garden.I spend a fortune on different bird food, and these pesky pigeons(said in a good old Scooby Doo type voice)turn up and scoff it all.
