Wife was asked "via mail" to attend the job centre so that they can help her to find employment. Failure to attend could result in her benefit "i.e incapacity" being stopped.
Wife attended yesterday and after being told to sit and wait until called through another woman then said to my wife "do not just sit there, go over to the computers and find some vacancies which interest you". Wife replies "i am comfortable here thank you", to which she was told in a snotty manner "do you not want to find work", to which the wife replies "no, not only have i got a full time job but you should not label people".
At this point she fucked off pretty quickly, and afterwards when another person implied that she should find work my wife then began to become impatient and stated "if you can get my-self/Daughter a medically trained C.R.B Practicioner to look after my seriously ill Daughter then i will gladly return to my job.
Fully understand that there had being a breakdown in communication somewhere along the line and that there were staff at the job centre who were very sorry for what had happened, BUT certain members of staff should not label people, because afterall you surely should be trained in this department.
My Family and especially my Daughter "who cannot yet attend school" should not have had to go through the stress that her Mum could well be taken away from caring for her as she recovers from having "and still having" a brain tumour.
This Government makes me fuckin sick especially when they cannot even get basic stuff right. At least now they will not be pestering our family again, but what a shame it had to come to this.
To be honest my Wife was actually looking forward to this meeting, but it's no consolation trying to convince a 13 year old that her Mother could be taken away from caring for her and to take her to appointments etc etc.
