My mother's cooking was a bit like Wendy Craig's in "Butterflies", but I clearly remember two things she did well - one was lobby and the other was shepherd's pie but with tinned tuna under the potato top. Somehow it was delicious.
Has anyone else had this culinary marvel?
Did your mums have specialties?

My mum makes a brilliant fish pie like that, sometimes with tuna and sometimes with smoked haddock. I cook a pretty mean one too but it's never as good as hers.

I went in when the last one was underway, took a piece with beans on.... They said it was brilliant but too fancy.
What you reckon? Just a dry piece next time?
