got married there 5 years ago in september. come may it will be warm but not to hot cool at night.
there are loads of good restaurants but you are better off going for a greek/cypriot meze which is 15 course meal with loads of ale and wine. keo is a decent lager
there are some good bars too, busy enough for a good time or quiet enough for a social drink
aya napa it is not we stayed at the st george hotel but had our experience slightly let down by the fucking gmtv wedding.
funny story - when getting changed on the morning of my wedding i realised id left my tie in uk, lucky enough there was a next in town and managed to get the matching tie

I went Pahpos back in 1997 when it really was Paphos before it became commercial. Great place, clear waters but no beach and a great atmosphere with some of the friendliest folks I have ever met.
Mate is in the army and went when he was based over there and said commercialisation has hit big time now with take aways etc and clubs.

You can't go wrong with weather in Cyprus, May will be great. I went to Tala last year, during June and we had a heatwave during the first week of two.
The bars around Paphos have a Rhyl or Blackpool feel about them. You should expect to see the football tops, bleached blonde's and Burberry caps, but if you like the Union Jack flying above your bar that serves an all day English Breakfast then you'll enjoy it.
Hire yourself a car and drive inland to one of the many Tavernas on offer.

Never understand why people go looking for english bar's in foreign countries. Surely you go escape all that. Years ago when we used to have the potters holidays it was a big thing to go to Rhyl for the week and everyone used to meet in a pub called The Abbey. Literally everyone from Stoke got in there and I always wondered what the point was, may as well sit at home in the Duke of York and save your cash

Went to Coral Bay about 10km from Paphos in 2004 can highly recommend it for water sports. Defo go to the water park in Paphos it's one of the best I've been to. Also hire a jeep and do trodos mountain fantastic views up there. As for the weather it gets hot from April till late October so drink plenty of ALE so you don't get to dehydrated
