Ed de Goey-7 Out of 10 He doesn't command his area enough as maybe we would like, but we are still lucky to have a keeper like Ed in goal (in my opinion) and at times, he has shown that added bit of class that someone like Cutler cannot give us.
Wayne Thomas-7 Out of 10 Looks much more at home at centre back and is a rock when playing alongside Taggart. An outsider for player of the season, improving every season.
Clive Clarke-8 out of 10 Very impressive stuff from Clarkey, i'm still a Marcus Hall fan but Clarkey deserves his place. Still not sure about his captain credentials, that said, he's more of a lead by example captain than a shout your mouth off one!
Gerry Taggart-9 out of 10 What can you say? He came in at a time when our confidence was at a seasons low after the Cardiff game, and gave us that experience, and know how. His confidence and self assurance rubbed off on the players as in his 8 game loan spell, we won 7 and didn't lose one. Great to see him back and I hope he is half as good!
John Eustace -9 out of 10 Our best player of the season so far. An almost total midfielder in my view, he has been literally superb. Good passer, gets stuck in, scores a fair few goals and good defensively, and all for free! Great business.
Clint Hill-5 out of 10 Hard really to say whether he has been good or bad. Injuries have blighted his season and i've taken that into consideration into the score seeing as it's a ratings message. Has, however, looked steady in the games he has played in. Gerry Taggart
John Halls-8 out of 10 England U21 material in my view. A snip purchase from Arsenal, he has shown he is comfortably at home in the centre as he is at right back. Can also (though we don't know too much about this) play centre midfield and looks a real class act to me.
Kris Commons- 6 out of 10 Hasn't met the expectations, on the other hand he hasn't really had the chance to! Needs to be played from the start in my view and the few games he has started in, he has always looked impressive.
Carl Asaba-7 out of 10 A great start to his City career has perhaps not been followed up in recent months. However, a real fans favourite and he gives us real options and competition for places. I like Sarbs a lot.
Chris Greenacre-5 out of 10 Had his chance at the start of the season and OK, he may have been played out of position, but he still didn't look anywhere near what we want. Expect his departure soon.
Gifton Noel-Williams-8 out of 10 When you take into consideration he plays with arthritis, your admiration for him has to increase. A pivotal attacking threat in my view, his strength and general game has added an extra dimension to us this season. Needs to pop a few more in though.
Ade Akinbiyi-8 out of 10 Has lived upto the expectations of last season. A minority of fans doubted his signing after a few weeks, but he looks a goalscorer in my view who busts a gut every game. A top, top player and one who the fans love to bits.
Peter Hoekstra-7 out of 10 Some great performances (Reading springs to mind here doesn't it) have perhaps not been met with what we know the magical man can do. On his day, he's our best player.
Neil Cutler-6 out of 10 Can't really say he has let us down when he has come in, but still has a dodgy feel about him and doesn't inspire the confidence in me that Ed does!
Chris Iwelumo-5 out of 10 Similar to Greenacre, he sadly isn't good enough. A top bloke
Marcus Hall-6 out of 10 It appears Clarkey has won the "race" for the left back spot. Never lets us down though and has played well at times this season, at centre back and at left back. Used more away from home nowadays, which allows Clarkey to push up into left sided midfield, giving us a more solid look away from home.
Darel Russell-8 out of 10 Went through a dodgy spell just before Christmas, however he has come out of it a better player and his recent energetic displays in the centre of the park have certainly caught my eye. Whether he is the long term answer in the central position remains to be seen, but if he keeps playing as well as he has, I don't see any reason why not.
Paul Williams-5 out of 10 Hasn't had the best of times here so far. Has played well at home, however some disastorous mistakes away from home have not done him any favours with the Stoke crowd. Needs to boost his fitness and maybe he could be a useful player for us however?????!!!
Sebastian Svard-6 out of 10 A steady rather than spectacular start to his loan spell. Looks comfortable on the ball, and to me, looks a better mans Karl Henry.
Lewis Neal-7 Out of 10 We play well when he plays in the home games. A very good passer, keeps on improving and has impressed me a lot.

I'd give Clarkey a 7 not an eight - he started the season at 6/10 and has improved recently to 8/10 so an overall 7 is merited - based on your overall scoring which is slightly more generous than mine would be.
Lewis Neal 6.5 - worth a 7 based on his performances but hasn't had enough appearanaces to get the full 7 as Tp tends to play him only at home.
Sarbs 6.5 - obviously has scored important goals and is top scorer - unlucky in that the Ade GNW formation is the natural one but he hasn't half looked disinterested since Christmas!

Lewis Neal must have been cut off when I copy and pasted them over off the official site! Added him now though. With a message like this, you set yourself up for a lot of people disagreeing with you. So many players, so many different opinions! Jon

Very good assessment overall SuperStokie but i'd tweak...
Wayne Thomas- 8 Out of 10 rather than a 7. Looks much more at home at centre back and is a rock when playing alongside Taggart. An outsider for player of the season, improving every season.
