Probably the second best British comedy of all time for me, second only to Partridge. ''Ex scooda Bee? had eddy body goda boda oranjoo?'' uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5wB0OkcCps8

Sorry, but I must obviously be missing something here, but the League of Gentlemen is quite possibly THE LEAST FUNNY programme ever to have been given air time.
Utter, utter shite!

Mickey: What time is it, Ross? Ross: You've got a watch on. Mickey: I know, but what time is it?

the way the portray the charecters are so perfect. Instead of being over the top (O' im a lady!!, i have facial hair and talk all posh, im a lady, how funny) they use subttle comedy which actually makes you feewl like your watching real people.
e.g. legs-a-kimbo, i dont know about everyone else, but when i was in primary school we used to have these condicending drama troupes come in and do stupid little plays like they do. or that couple, tony and (i forget the womens name) how they talk to each other and you can hear the hate in their voices when they talk.
it really is brilliant in so many ways and surpasses comedies now,
(That weight watchers women out of little britain is the most blatent pauline rip off i have ever seen)

Hope it's better than the last series. The last series was the best one! I wasn't much for series 3, perhaps it needs another viewing. The first two series and the horror short story special were faultless though.

Three does need multiple viewing to see all the connections. The massage parlour episode though is one of the funniest things I've seen on TV

In the first episode of that series when Ross has his wicked way with Pauline, I was both laughing & horrified at the same time!

Beauty of the Oatcake. Started to re watch this on Netflix as a result of this thread. Forgotten just how good it was, it was just an idea in me head, forgot the nuances of it- a plausible alternative reality. Devilment in the detail.
The vet Barbara The cleaner The butcher Mafioso newsagents Tubbs etc.
Fuckin nuts. Brill.
