Forget that twat selling oatcakes out of a hole...we have a real crisis now. The Coachmaker's Arms, the greatest pub in Hanley and one of the most unique in the area, is threatened with demolition. Nobody likes Hanley bus station resembling part of Middlesbrough, but there must be a way to develop it without destroying a genuinely unique boozer. The irony...oh the irony!

The bus station is a shithole but surely it can be redeveloped without knocking a load of other perfectly good buildings down. The Coachmakers could be left standing as part of a re-developement. Maybe it could be promoted as a tourist attraction. The pub hasn't altered it's layout and is like pubs were 50 or 100 years ago, where as most pubs have had the smaller rooms knocked through into one room. It amases me that The Council and developers seem happy to keep shite buildings but demolish buildings of historical interest.
