If I'd only got a few weeks left to live, I'd be living it up in the sun, chain smoking and getting pissed. Why the fuck not?

I think maybe he has a good reason to smoke. I don't think there are many people on here who would know what it's like to know that you will die in the next few months.
If smoking makes him feel a bit better then good luck to him.
as boother say's if you are fit enough live it up.

Does smoking stop chemo from working or something? I don't actually know, I'm not being facetious.

No Boother, it doesn't. It is recommended that you keep out of the sun while having chemo.
Smoking however does make recovering from oporations etc much more difficult.

I don't smoke but I might start if I was told I have a few weeks to live.

Oh right, didn't know that. Still, it's terminal as they've already said, so I think I'd rather enjoy my last few days before shuffling off this mortal coil... Good for him I reckon.

just before me dad died of cancer, we took him outside in his bed for a final fag, his thoughts on it were, im dying anyway so who gives a fuck?? ;D the funny part of it was, he was on a bed that had an electric pump for the matress, some old biddy walked through and unplugged it and his bed started deflating while he was smoking, all i saw was him disappearing holding his fag high in the air, PISSER ;D
