Off to Vegas in a few weeks and was wondering if anybody has bought an iphone from there?
If so how much do they cost and are they unlocked?
Any advice much appreciated.

Apple Store has the 8GB listed at $399 and the 16GB at $499. Of course, there will be sales tax on top of that, which might be 6 to 8 percent. As to the inner workings and whether it would work in the UK is beyond me. Check out this link: www.apple.com/iphone/Hope this helps. Dallas.

You can buy a iPhone over there but it wont be unlocked, you can unlock it but will lose the free data package so not really worth it.
Apple have just released the SDK for the iPhone so the Apps that will be available in June will piss on any phone out there at the mo.
If your worried about the camera only being 2MP you should look for a Digital Camera and not a phone.

The phone I have now is fine, but need a new MP3 player and don't really want to carry both around. Think I may go for the itouch and try and link it to my current PDA for the web browser.

I beg to differ.
The 16GB is 329 GBP in the UK, which is $660. The 16 GB is $499 in the US, which is 248.34 GBP.

No apologies necessary, frasier.
Have you got your trip to Florida sorted?
Orlando is just down the road from me, well two hours on I-95. I moved to Jacksonville at the back end of last year.

Nope not yet. Looks like i will be taking the package though. From what i can see flights alone are as much as the package Jacksonville You're a lucky spud... ...until hurricane season starts that is:P

Jacksonville normally escapes the worst of the hurricane season. Of course, that will probably change now that I have moved here. I'll just have to remember to walk round with a couple of half-enders in my jacket pocket. ;D

You don't want to believe what you see on TV. Yeah, a tornado watch was in effect until 12:00 EST. Well, its past 12:00 and I ain't seen a tornado, although we have had rather a lot of rain. Still, I would rather have that than the snow they have had in my old stamping ground in Dallas.
