Hey myleftfoot, ive got freeview upstairs connected to a aeriel that as been on my roof for as long as i can remember. Dont know much about digital or analoge, but surely that must be a analoge aeriel?

No im running 2 tv,s on a normal aeriel. I just turned the aeriel so it pointed to fenton and bobs your uncle.

Is a digital arieal a wideband one? Just looked on the website and it does say Wide band so I may be wrong.

watching mine at the moment and its connected to the old aeriel we have had for bloody years. Just really depends on how strong your signal is tbh mate.
Even when we switch to digital you will probably still be ok with your old aeriel.

Try it before you have an aerial fitted.
Digiboxes are only about £11.
We've got 4 tvs running off ancient aerials.

Ive bought one of those teles with freeview built in and it keeps saying that theres no signal yet im picking BBC1 BBC2 itv ch4 and ch5 but no freeview. ???

Depends on where you are in relation to the Transmitter, i have a cheapo analogue aerial on the roof and get all freeview channels no problem
