Which band or album do you secretly love but have always been ashamed to admit to? Hello everyone im Mr Wheeze and im a huge Stoke fan and Madness fan but im ashamed to admit that i love Busteds first album. There! I said it! Recently bought a new car which has a cassette player in and im awaiting a stereo facsia before i can put my cd player in. So i dug out some old tapes earlier to listen to while i was out. One of them was Busteds first album. I was singing along to every track im sorry to admit. Not so keen on the 2nd album they did though. Come on sing along, you know you want to!...... "thats what i go to school for......."

Simply Red's - Stars is a phenomenal album.
I'm never sure whether i should be ashamed of loving it or not.

Jebus- Simply Red Hate to admit but I think 'Downtown' by Petula Clark is a good track ??? My ex-girlfriend loved the Winona Ryder/Angelina Jolie film 'Girl, Interrupted' and used to hate the fact they sang it in the film as didn't want to admit it. Looks a bit out of place on my Ipod alonside the Dropkick Murphys, Pogues, Clash etc

I got a Shakin' Stevens album when I was young. I didn't buy it myself but I thought it was great then.
I almost bought a Wham!-album many moons ago but decided not to do so.
But I'm unable to get away with the purchase of "Who needs guitars anyway" by Alice Deejay. One great song on the album and that's that. But she's a fit looking fox!

I've got the Marilyn Manson singles collection which is actually quite good... I've bizarrely got the first B*Witched album somewhere, as well as the critically acclaimed "Barbie Girl" by Aqua... I don't mind Take That in small doses (except for "Could it be Magic", I could listen to that all the time)... I've also got Sum 41 and Blink 182 albums which I love, but keep a secret because I love to slag off American "Pop Punk".

A particular favourite of mine is a CD called "It's Electric", and is full of electro synth pop hits from the 80s, which inspired me to go out and but the best of Jimmy Somerville. I've also got the Right Said Fred album "Up".

I still listen to Script For A Jester's Tear by Marilion and Pelican West By Haircut 100.
It's an 80s thing although it was great to see The Cardiacs supporting Marillion at the Viccy Hall in the mid 80s. The Cardiacs made Marillion sound as shite as they really are.

Zippy....you cannot be serious abot the Cardiacs, surely?
I was at that gig and they were f***ing awful! Quite honestly THE worst band I have ever seen live!
BTW I was the one who shouted "F*** OFF!" at them in the middle of a song(?) and was rewarded with a round of applause!

I'm also afraid that i have to add the works of Gilbert & Sullivan to the growing list of music that i know i shouldn't like, but do.
There's such intelligent wordplay, joie de vivré and an almost whimsical, delirious epigram about their works, i can often find myself lost for many an hour.

"delirious epigram"???
I pity the fool that uses "delirious epigram" in a sentence, I do, I pity the fool.

Zippy....you cannot be serious abot the Cardiacs, surely? Oh yeah I thought they were great and saw them a couple of years later in Cardiff. It's obvious that they've been listening to Zappa and Gong. Putting them on as support for Marillion was a bizarre decision though. I remember them chucking rice or something at the audience.

Zippy....all a matter of taste I suppose. I can appreciate Zappa and Gong, but the Cardiacs made me want to rip my own ears off! The only other band I have seen live to even approach them were the Vipers supporting Thin Lizzy at Trentham in '79. They too were truly awful!
I agree that the support slot for Marillion was a somewhat odd decision though.
