Don't get a Wii, they are shit, either go for the 360 or the PS3.
People I know who have had both the 360 and PS3 say the 360 is better, I have a 360 and a Wii but I would only recommend the 360 to you, XBox Live is the best thing ever and with a gold account you can now download High Def movies.

I own all three consoles, so if you're planning on getting one i would break it down as follows:
Wii - Great for a more casual gamer. Wii sports is a top offline multiplayer game. The most family friendly console. Online you can download retro games from the NES, SNES, Master System, Megadrive and N64, lots of classic games await. Online Service is free, but some content must be paid for.
PS3 - Potentially the most powerfull console, still awaiting for its flag ship games to be released (Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5). It's online service is free, unlike Xbox Live, but it my opinion its leagues behind Xbox Live in terms of content and features. Online Service is free, but some content must be paid for.
360 - If online gaming is important to you then i wouldn't recommend any other console. Xbox Live is £39.99 a year. The 360 has been around longer than the other two consoles and has a great catalogue of games that are already out.

deffo a PS3 , and you get a blueray player too, and Blueray has defeated HD-DVD .... a PS3 is cheaper than a blueray player by itself .
I have a PS3 .... COD4 is awesome

Nintendo Wii - perfect if you are under 15
Xbox 360 - Perfect for online play and high def games
PS3 - Shit online at the moment but definitely the machine for the next 3 years or so (when it eventually has some decent games to play on it)
I'd personally go for the 360 at this time, and when PS3 comes good (hopefully by the end of the year is what they are saying), then get one next year when theyve come down in price.

Ben - u forgot to say the PS3 is just plain SHIT online.
My brother bought one for christmas, he sold it last week to buy a 360.
Also, why would you buy from Sony at the moment? They are ripping the European gamers off at every opportunity - games not coming out on time, certain things missed off in the Euro release, PSP not getting the same stuff here as US, PS3 bundles very different in US and cheaper.
Don't even get me started on the whole GTA IV shambles that Sony caused.
We should all be saying FUCK OFF SONY.
ps: is Lost any good Ben? Not got vety good review on TVG and IGN. hmmmph.

people seem to forget that xbox 360 has been out nearly 2 years longer than the PS3, I got a 360 the DAY it was launched and for like 4 months the online play was total shite, and Microsoft have made shit loads of changes in the 2 years advantage over Sony.....So as a personal view I cannot compare them even though I do have both... But there is a advantage PS3 has over Xbox and that is Online play is Free..... The PS3 is fine tuning its online play and everthing JUST LIKE XBOX.... Also Ive had no problems with Online play on the PS3, nothing at all, I find it is great..... Xbox 360 customer support is rubbish, My xbox broke and Microsoft wouldnt do anything, My friend broke his CD tray on his PS3, He sent it off to Sony and literally 4 days later he got a BRAND NEW PS3, So they dont just do a sloppy repair like Microsoft they actually give you a fresh one Xbox 360 + Xbox HD drive = £400 + / - Playstation 3 - Built in Blu-ray (Far better than HD drive) - £300 In Xbow 360's first month of release there was something like 200+ faults logged and they had to recall thousands because of overheating problems and that HUGE brick of a power pack melting... Playstation 3 had a smooth launch with there only being 1 major fault which was the blu-ray laser wasnt connected properly (but you could fix this yourself with no problem) Xox 360 has more games over the PS3, Well what do you expect they had a 2 year lead on Sony.... The games currently being made for PS3 are a much higher quality to most Xbox ones, Take COD4 for instence, I played it on xbox360 and LOVED it and I was playing in HD and then When I went to PS3 I couldnt belive my eyes and how much Blu-ray gaming was, Stunning is a understatement! To sum up: Xbox 360 is overpriced, Got alot more games that PS3, Red ring of death, fun console overall. PS3 is a far superior machine, alot more advanced technology than xbox360, Is currently at a very reasonable price for what you get inside that amazing machine, In the next year there will be about 200+ new blu-ray games brought out with stunning grahpics. Well thats what I think.... Also people interested in GTA4 heres some new info on it : - Rumble will be in the game - The PS3 version is a week behind it's 360 counterpart (all the bugs have not been ironed out yet) - Niko always moves at walking speed, unless you hold down X to make him jog or double-tap it to make him sprint - Cars handle extremely well - Accelerating and braking is done with the L2 and R2 triggers - When driving at top velocity it blurs the edges of the screen and gives an impressive sense of speed - Lampposts snap off with a burst of sparks and more resistance than previously - "throwing Niko over the handlebars and leaving a nice blood-splat where his face had collided with the metal" - Clicking the left stick turns on the siren of a police car, jingle of a ice cream truck etc. Like in previous versions. - Niko gets up and dusts himself off - No more 'wasted' deaths, now death is exemplified through the use of a sepia-toned slow-motion. Like gears of war and Uncharted but with slow motion. - When you fight a random ped for instance, sometimes other NPC's gather round as a crowd watching and yelling at the fight, attracting police. - you'll need to go through Roman and his taxi service to do the cab jobs, not jack a cab. - Niko's has mastery of Israeli martial art Krav Maga, it stays that way - You can 'disarm' enemies, in this case hitting the enemies hand and taking the knife - kills are "unsettling realistic" - Pushing the left trigger (L2) halfway lets you freely aim with the right analog stick, but pushed all the way in allows for auto-targeting - Actual headshots take careful positioning and an ability to keep up with moving, ducking targets - R1 to duck into cover - "After bashing out the driver's side window, we opened fire, and all of a sudden Lenny's car slowed to a crawl and stopped. One of the bullet holes in his car's rear windshield had a blood splatter around it. We'd successfully shot Lenny in the back of the head as he was driving at high speed."- Very nice. - unique stunt jump's are in - multiplayer to be revealed soon

hmmm. Jew - would you rather have online play that is absolutely perfect and trouble free, with over 12 million users for an extra £40 a year (76p a week!!) or Shitty online play that nobody is playing and is riddled with bugs for free??
I fucking hate the dicks that say "yeh, but xbox live is £40 a year, PS3 is free" - that is why it is free, because it is shit...FACT
You pay for what you get.
Like the comments on GTA IV though, although you forgot to mention the 360 version was ready in September last year, only to be told by Sony that they couldn't release it until the PS3 version is ready, so sorry for not throwing a party because the PS3's version is only 'a week behind its 360 counterpart".

you would enjoy it, but its now intended for anyone to pick up and play, if you dont watch it religously, then you wont know what the feck is going on, to many in jokes. the visuals are stunning, the hungle, beach, hatch, black rock, inside the swan are all brilliantly detailed, and the story stays very true to the t.v series,
e.g. i was trying to open the blast doors in the swan by completing some puzzles, (fuse puzzles im sure you have heard about, but i find quite challenging and fun) then i heard the 4 minute beeping? starting shitting myself wondering what to do, lol, ran into the dome to the computer and it was beeping, so quickly started trying to remember the numbers, couldent, then remembered they were on the front of the box, entered them, and the clock reset itself, i was impressed. another one, i was trying to find the hatch while tring to avoid the smoke monster, hid in some tree's, waited for it to go, but when you in the tree's you can look around and see it flying off in the distant, weaving in and out. its split into 7 episdoes, and at the beggining of each new one, it does the whole "previously on lost" thing, which is good. the flash backs are a great addition, easy achievments aswell if you play through properly and dont take shortcuts, trading has been implemnted well, and apparently, though i havent got there yet, there is a good twist at the end that relates to the t.v show.
im glad i brought it

Unbelieveable - I did the same comparison next to each other, my brother had his PS3 and I had the 360 both with COD4. They were pretty much identical, slightly and only slightly sharper on PS3 - that was it I think your eyes must of been playing tricks on you Jew. Even Activision came out and said there was hardly any difference between the two versions.

I might consider buying it now. What would you give it out of 10?

I hear you but im guessing you didnt have a xbox 360 when it was first released , you pretty much couldnt play online for the ammount of bugs there were, and PS3 have the same problem Sony are fixing all the bugs... about your GTA comment your totally wrong, This is why it wasnt released : Rockstar Games initially appeared to be committed to the 16 October 2007 release date. However, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter suggested that Take-Two may choose to delay the release of the game in order to boost its financial results for 2008 and to avoid competing with the release of other highly anticipated titles. [6] Rockstar responded by saying that Grand Theft Auto IV was still on track for release in "late October". so blame Take-two for being greedy...

Jew - don't get me wrong, I will probably have a PS3 eventually, when some decent games come out and not just 'ported across' games like Ranibow Six and COD4.
Little Big Planet looks awesome but not out until October and of course MGS4, but again, a july release is stated, but probably won't be ready for then. As I said above somewhere, the PS3 is definitely the machine of the future but no way is it the present hardcore gamers choice.

So jew, what you are saying is.
XBox had it's problems but got them all sorted and the PS3 still has problems that they are working on?
XBox 360 wins it then.
I had the 360 from launch day and never had problems playing online, I've had the red ring of death and sent it away and was back 8 days later with a new mother board fitted, brilliant support i'd say from Microsoft.
The thing I don't like with the PS3 and what I didn't like with the PS2 was that most of the games are designed with the Japanese/Chinese markets in mind, cheesy cut scenes with subtitles.
I'm not really a gamer but spend a lot of time online winding the yanks up, easy picking.
