wonder if anyone could help me, i am looking to get into electrics i did this for two years when i left school but was working for a firm that was not interested in helping me learn the skills. i am 23 now and i really want to get back into to it, it seems that no company is interested in apprentice unless they are 16 so what i wanted to know if anyone knows of or has a company that needs an electricians mate i am willing then to pay for the tution needed myself. thanks for taking the time to read this

I used to work for a quality firm based in Birmingham called ADI (Automation, Design and Installation). Worth giving them a bell mate.

To be honest mate, it does not matter where the firm is based. 90% of work in the trade has travelling involved anyway.
Good luck.

you wanna talk to somebody like total people, they do the modern apprenticeship and will place you with a local firm, you will attend one full day per week at college and four full days at work. pay wont be the best but you should within 3 years i think it is be an approved electrician then you wont need to worry about rates of pay ever again i didnt travel that route myself but i am told its the fastest way to get approved status
