Maybe, but he is going out to destroy the beliefs of millions and millions of people across the globe. Fair play, I mean it's his opinion and he's only "evangelising" in his own way the same as priests and bishops do.
I haven't actually read it so it's totally hypocritical of me to try and even argue against it, it is indeed on my "to read list" though.

As an athiest (if I'm being negative) or a humanist (if I'm being positive), who doesn't believe in God - or any other supreme being - I'm not exactly objective!
Part of the problem, I think, is that there are so many different variations of Christianity, as for other religions/beliefs, that it is difficult to have a blanket view of it - there seems to me to be a whole range from people such as Martin Luther King and Desmond Tutu who, motivated by Christianity have a very positive impact on the world, whilst at the other extreme are fundamentalists who use Christianity as a basis for spreading hatred and violence, Ian Paisley and George W. Bush are obvious examples What really annoys me is those Christians who claim that, just because they believe some mumbo jumbo, they are morally superior to me. In my experience, they're the ones who espouse hatred towards others, whilst those Christians whom I have respect for because they put their beliefs into practice, are the quietest and most modest.
I also get really annoyed when Christians claim, and often get, special treatment - about time that the blasphemy law was finally consigned the the dustbin.
I could go on - and on and on - but, for now, rant over.
