"alternative news sources"
Like the young man who has been there and you have chosen to ignore?
yet you will include links to the national newspapers. selective?
"why do you think the US have a fleet of air craft carriers on the coast of Iran ?"
Straits of Hormuz
'they're desperate to hit Iran before Bush leaves office"
evidence?
"I don't think Iran needs to weaken Iraq anymore than it is."
True, but do you not think there is a need to keep Iraq weak and their influence strong?
"Saber rattling"
and Iran aren't doing this?
"the white house would have been announcing it at every opportunity"
They are. google it.
oh and the bbc is poor, license payers pay for impartiality, what was the purpose of this show? it's no surprise the Al-jazeera English news is all ex-bbc staff.

"alternative news sources" Like the young man who has been there and you have chosen to ignore? yet you will include links to the national newspapers. selective? On the whole i don't trust the main stream media, particularly US media, although there are some very good journalists out there, George Mombiot, Robert Fisk, John Pilger..... But i generally use www.antiwar.com for most of my news. Not sure why i should trust a anonymous poster who's made 3 posts in total. Yes. Sanctions, usually the first step towards war, the rhetoric coming from the white house very similar to the rhetoric in the build up to war with Iraq, the military build up in the gulf, it has to be said though that the recent NIE has really dampened down the possibilities of an attack on Iran, Dick Cheney was so pissed off at it's findings that he sent it back to be redone, still came back that the Iranians had halted weapons program in 2003. Yes you're right they've been saying "weapons from Iran" but they've produced no evidence the Iranian government are involved.

I agree with you in areas, to be honest being slightly argumentative to expand what your saying so........ www.antiwar.com the name shows its agenda, this is more reliable than reuteurs or the bbc? (on a similar vein can recommend www.rferl.org, on a side note you may know but interesting view of the conflict in Iran/afghanistan especially with the rise of china, www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan_pipelineen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Afghanistan_Pipelinebooks.google.com/books?hl=en&id=3lyCPmitLkQC&dq=geopolitics+caspian+oil&printsec=frontcover&source=web&ots=c4fJ-zbxyU&sig=Is8hzUiUxIqBPhzbnperHFBXJwE) "why do you think the US have a fleet of air craft carriers on the coast of Iran ?" Straits of Hormuz "Yes" You suggested that the carriers were a staging post for an invasion not protection of the shipping route? please explain. " but they've produced no evidence the Iranian government are involved" as i think i said before, what evidence would you accept? military experience you don't believe. how can it be proven? Where are the rockets coming from within Iran and how are groups getting access to them without government complicity? Are the sanctions and games on both sides the build up to war or a game of brinkmanship?

They are there to intimidate Iran. A lot more than what's been given so far, the Bush admin have had to admit they have no evidence of government involvement. military experience you don't believe. Im not fan of the Iranian government, but you have to stay objective, and after the lies about Iraq i don't believe a word coming from the current white house, and anyone in there right mind would come to the same conclusion,. They're liars, and people are waking up to them-
